Southampton have not scored in 8 of their last home games yet Charlie Austin never gets a start. How the hell they think Long is a better forward than him I really do not know. Charlie always struck me as being a journeyman player someone who was grateful for the opportunity to play football at a high level. Came on late yesterday with another striker who scored a worldy, than that player shouted at manager he should have started.

Except for the problem that we couldn't offer Clint the money he wanted or the game time.
Even if we did get Charlie back there would be that horrible risk of him sitting on the bench with Sylla and Smith while Washington and Mackie try to amass 20 goals between them in their entire careers (much as I love them both). |  |
