£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 20:52 - Aug 15 with 3433 views | plasjack | Forget about the politics, it's fantastic news for us, a player good on set pieces worth 45M, and a headless chicken in open play. hope we can find a suitable replacement.

£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 20:49 - Aug 15 by nantywatcher | I could almost guarantee it was a weaker deal than the first upgraded offer. We have wasted weeks whilst the owners tried to draw a veil over their poor business judgements displayed in this deal. |
"I could almost guarantee it was a weaker deal than the first upgraded offer" You actually think that ?

Yes I do. I've been doing business deals all my life, and I've got very little doubt this deal is no more than a face saver for the owners

That's the key word - quality. I hope to God we spend the cash, and if we do, that it's spend wisely
£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 21:04 - Aug 15 with 3240 views | ThurrockJack92 | Don't know how to feel about this. On one hand I am happy that it is finally resolved and on the other I am angry that we have apparently accepted an offer which was on the table 3 weeks ago. During which time not only are there less potential replacements, the ones that are available are likely to be even more expensive. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Come on mun......how can you possibly believe that without knowing the details of the deal. I've done business deals as well, but never done one for £45 million, so I'll bow to your superior knowledge.

£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 21:19 - Aug 15 with 3053 views | awayjack | Whi knows what the delays were about but £45mm or £40m after Spurs is good business. Now the acid test of if the Yanks invest in squad or bank the money for exit. My guess is we'll spend £20m on one player, another speculative £5m plus (hopefully) a quality loanee when the big boys finish signings and realise their squads are too big.

£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 20:41 - Aug 15 by JackSomething | Of course they don't, but most don't let it get in the way of a good tantrum. Well done to you, Lisa and Flashberry for at least considering the possibility that this offer was structured better than the previous ones as far as we are concerned. |
Thanks for your input Mr Jenkins .

£45m deal for siggy agreed? on 20:36 - Aug 15 by nantywatcher | Silly comment again. Everton's opening bid was £40 mill. I'm a long long way off being a HJ fan, and I'm still waiting to see a list of all the"undersold" deals he did. £12mill for Jonjo, £25 mill for Bony etc. Where are these deals where he sold for half price? Genuine question, list them please. |
Everton offered £40m because we valued him at £50m. By "we" I mean the Yanks, not Jenkins. We (by "we" I mean Jenkins) agreed a whopping 30% sell-on fee with Liverpool and got nowhere near £25m for Bony...the add-ons were risible. [Post edited 15 Aug 2017 21:51]
