The Draw 18:45 - Dec 5 with 21004 views | Yorkshire_Dale | Only a few minutes off, but we will have to endure all usual BBC crap sucking up to Stevie G and Ian Right Right Wright before the proper stuff. Far too much farting around, just get on with it. HOME draw please.

The Draw on 19:23 - Dec 5 by Molly | After Barrow's result in round 2 the fact they are at home to a team 2 leagues above them could well be an attraction to the TV companies. |
West Ham v City, Preston v Arsenal, Tottenham v Villa, Man Utd v Reading will be selected - is that it? Or do they have more than 4 in the 3rd round? Cant see Barrow v Dale being attractive (thankfully). [Post edited 5 Dec 2016 19:35]

Not as "nearly" as Carlisle. Any road, given the interest being shown in the BBC studio, it has a chance of being a TV match... And we know how well those turn out for us

The Draw on 19:29 - Dec 5 with 3270 views | SuddenLad | Good draw for Dale and looking at the other ties, there are very few 'tasty' matches. I reckon we have agreat chance of a televised fixture. Barrow hadn't beaten a League club for 50 years in the FA Cup until last Saturday. Their previous victims in 1966 were - Rochdale. Not easy, but eminently winnable and it seems we owe them one ! 😊

The Draw on 19:30 - Dec 5 with 3259 views | DaleFan7 | I think it'll be a TV game just because of what they did in the last round. They've not lost for 22 games. Won't be easy.

Plus the fact it is being "headlined" on BBC site along with 4 or 5 ties means we could well be shown on the box.

Aye, that infamous 1-3 defeat at Spotland in November 1966 Brian Richardson, our midfield dynamo, carried off with a broken leg; first time I'd seen that on a football pitch and remember feeling stunned [Post edited 5 Dec 2016 19:41]

The Draw on 19:41 - Dec 5 with 2971 views | Clivert | It won't be a TV game, BBC and BT go Premier League heavy once you get to round 3. West Ham Vs City is a cert to be on, Everton Vs Leicester also.

I agree. It comes down to viewing figures at this stage and as mundane as some of those ties are, they will be able to get a better worldwide audience.

I very much doubt we'd be on ahead of West Ham v Man City. I very much doubt we'd be on at all. Even games that should be a no contest like Liverpool v Newport/Plymouth will get more viewers than Barrow v Dale. First or Second Round definitely but not now the big boys are in.

The Draw on 19:56 - Dec 5 with 2265 views | Laveritty | Rather disappointing for both sides I would imagine. When teams at our level (and below)do get through to the 3rd round we all hope for a glamour tie. With regards to live TV coverage - I would be very surprised to be one of them! If you were to rank all 32 ties in order of the likeliness of being picked for live TV coverage I really couldn't see us being any higher than around midway. Man U against anyone is always going to get picked and BT/BBC will be milking the return of Jaap Stam to OT. I would think that between them BT/BBC will probably show that game, 2 all PL ties (probably MCFC v WHUFC and EFC v LCFC) and then 2 PL teams up against lower league sides (CFC v NCFC and LFC v PAFC/NCFC). Let's see if they can surprise us by choosing something less obvious? (Like BT did when they chose our game against Stoke a couple of years ago). That said - I'd be more than happy to avoid another traumatic TV appearance and having to explain to everyone I know that 'we are better than that - honestly!' (Again!)
