Oh well, this is irrelevant then.

QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: "Because of the manner we played, we deserved to get a goal. That is why I was celebrating. That was my emotion at the time.

"We have some young players we are trying to develop. We have foreign players we are trying to bed into the team They will get better. All these things take time.

"It was a harsh sending off, because the first booking was not a yellow card.

"I do not want to talk too much about the referee, I do not want to concentrate on that."

Oh well. That's life. Think his fate was sealed a week ago and over the past year. Struggling at this level. He will probably go on to manage Barcelona, winning every game 10-0 with his players camped in the opposition's area. Never like to see people sacked but I guess with the transfer window about to open if you are going to get a new manager in, it is now. It will almost certainly be Sherwood. Everyone will hate him like they hate Henry. But, Sherwood has a limited period of management in the Premiership, where, despite real issues at villa, he still had an average of over 40% win rate. On the other hand, perhaps it won't be him...

Perhaps it's time for Sir Les to step up and prove he can manage?

Never knowingly right.

Hugely sad

We very much bet the house on Jimmy. The young up and coming manager given the remit to captain the new look ship.
It hasn't been great and the football has been poor, but feel he has fallen foul of a fanbase warped by the ridiculous chairman who has left a husk of a club.

Really don't know what's around the corner.
We've had experienced, novice, up and coming, loud, quiet, tactical, motivator... the works

Like I said.... huge shame

He's mainly just a bit of an arse I think.

Don't think it ever worked out for him. He was an extremely promising and credentialed young manager but in retrospect his style of football was never going to take at Rangers and I think we should have seen that more than we did. I certainly glossed over it in my optimism.

Still, I'm very hopeful in the long term with Hoos and Ferdinand. Can't see Hoos allowing Sherwood anywhere near the club.

Make a big effort to support him during Telegraphgate, and a few games on they sack him.

Might as well have Briatore in charge. Manager merry go round.

Joke.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Well.. erm. Was it going that badly? What did we expect? More importantly, I suppose, what did TF expect?

Appointing Tim Sherwood now would look a little odd wouldn't it?

Erm........... we do have a way of creating our own crises don't we?

some of the most boring football I've seen at Rangers in decades. Stability is great, but entrainment is key!!! Onwards and upwards

As always I will be right behind whoever ends up in our dugout ,but cant help thinking we will be here again next Nov .. Ramsey went on Nov 4th

I think they were right to back him over the Telegraph issue, though I didn't think so at first I have to admit. Lleaving aside the fact that the club might have faced an embarrassing and possibly expensive case had they sacked him on what later appeared to be limited or non-available evidence, I also think they handled it with wisdom and calm. In the end this was about football. No hyperbole, no crisis.
