Sorry, mate. Was there for the full week.
Very successful. Ratio of stakes to returns was 1:1.5 for the week, so pretty profitable.
Altior, Douvan, VVM, Vautour and Thistlecrack winning was great. Yanworth and UdS falling short and Cue Card falling was not.
Was very luck to get wind of the Cause of Causes plot and the Superb Story plot too before they went off.

Ps. For any of you who opposed Thistlecrack, were you on crack?  The biggest banker of the festival and way way too long. Should have gone off a Douvan price. Before the Festival, at these "An evening with..." events, both McCoy and Walsh categorically said Thistlecrack was the biggest banker and was streets ahead of anything in the race.
If he takes to fences - he's going chasing next year - he has a live chance in Gold Cup. Tizzard has already said that's the aim and that he out stays Cur Card on the gallops. | | | |
