Never heard the word 'codger' used so much on this site recently. All on the Dunne site yesterday and now Hill.... Dunne was harsh, with Clint it's bang out of order.

Contracts not expired yet, so won't be signed up, I dare say most of the players and in sunnier climates

Well Mr Faurlin... let's get that deal signed, those knees clad in cast iron and roll on next season. If of course you wish to pull up a hide covered chair in Gaucho's for a currillo steak and a fine Malbec then give us a shout!

As for Hill... what a man. I still get a lump in my throat when I see Warnock addressing his troops after Watford and choking up talking about Clint. Wants to extend his career but is typically honest and even says he doesn't want to be a burden or hold back Yun.
If you needed a mentor for your son then Hill's the man.
Sign him up and keep him here forever.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

poor old clint, any truth in the rumor his wife plays the comedy slide whistle when he manages to get out of the bed in the mornings.

My comment in particular was a shot across the bows at people who keep using the codger word.

Dunne & Hill were always called upon to get us out of the schit the over paid mercenary's got us into so for people to call them old codgers is either disrespectful or plain WUMing.

I think you'll find that only SoG, PunteR and now you have used that word.

So there are not a raft of "people who keep using the codger word" to warrant a "shot across the bows".

Sorry guvnor.
No WUMing from me. I turned 39 last weekend, last thing I would do is call a spritely 37 year old an old codger. Twas aving a joke on the pub landlords thread.
I've been defending Dunne,Hill,Green,Henry and Ramsey all week, for what its worth.

According to Sky:

OVER THE HILL? NO WAY!

QPR are to announce in the next 48 hours that Clint Hill has signed a new one-year deal at Loftus Road.

The defender was offered the contract earlier this month but the signing was put on hold until the players returned for pre-season training today.

He'll be 37 in October and this will be his sixth season as a QPR player.

Faurlin has signed. The story is wrong. Hill is expected to sign this week, I believe.

Never knowingly right.

Not entirely sure why I just posted photos of them both,we all know what they look like.
I guess these type of players brings back a youthful optimism and belief that we're ok as a football club. God bless em..
