Thought it might not be, but I felt so good for a minute or two. Whatever, everyone have a good summer and be back fresh next season. Good luck to you all.
Resting players for Wales on 18:34 - May 24 with 2170 views | 3swan | Rested for Wales? Right or wrong? It happens most years when there's nothing on the game, I would wish it was down to player pride but with so many changes today, teamwork would have suffered

It's almost as if it is acceptable for teams to do this at the end of the season. For me, it isn't.

I agree, but today could be seen coming as in other seasons. Last game I can understand blooding a youngster, but not changes that affect the pattern we play. It's a 38 game season, did we hand Palace £2m for finishing a couple of places higher?

Resting players for Wales on 16:54 - May 24 by blueytheblue | With all due respect I'm irrelevant in my own f***ing house my friend ;) The whole point of "weakened sides" was debated and resolved a long time ago. It's a squad game now. The scenario where Liverpool won the league using only 14 players is long gone. |
Liverpool winning the league using only 14 players you say, you did say Liverpool didn't you, when was that then ?

Resting players for Wales on 19:47 - May 24 with 1964 views | builthjack | I travelled there knowing that we would play a few squad players, in fact I expected one or two more to start. If we needed the points I am sure Monk would have picked his best 11. Good day, good atmosphere. Being Welsh, I am glad that Ash and Taylor will be fully fit for our World Cup qualifier, I am sure all Welsh people feel the same. Home in another hour!
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Collins I believe was injured before todays game and is out of Belgium game. Wales is a small country and as you would expect we struggle for strength in depth, if we have our best 11 out or close to it we can be competitive against very good teams. The likes of non Prem players would not have played today:- Gunter, MacDonald, Vaughan, Robson-Kanu etc

No sadly he won't be involved, got injured on the 25th April and had an operation a few days after, out until next season. [Post edited 24 May 2015 21:37]

1965/66 They didn't use that many players when they were dominant during the late 70's early 80's either.

Well its not a very good example because Aston Villa won the league with 14 players in the 1980/81 season the following season Villa won the European Cup and during that season the Swans beat Villa at the Vetch, i'm pretty sure the score was 2-1 that night and if I remember right Robbie James scored both our goals. I remember the Liverpool team that won the double in 86 did not have one single English player in it, the starting team in the FA Cup final anyway, although some people now say that Craig Johnson was claimed by England [not sure that was the case at the time]. Resting players for Wales on 22:10 - May 24 with 1624 views | PozuelosSideys | Rested for Wales? You mean that game thats not on for another 3 weeks or so? This was Monk throwing squad players in to the mix to give them a go. Can see why people are ok with that - each to their own and all that, but not for me personally. Had a Shelvey or Gylfi been in there today we would have won that game. Both sides were poor, they were just slightly less poor than us. Dont give me this whole "rested for Wales", because it just wasnt.

Resting players for Wales on 23:04 - May 24 with 1524 views | treboethjack | I was there with a mate, did we care that Williams and Taylor did not play? (be it resting them or due to injury) no we did not, did I care that the likes of siggy and Jonjo didn't play? did we hell! It was a nothing game, we knew that well in advance and were glad to see some youngsters. All in all a decent day with cracking noise from our fans. I'm also glad they didn't play as the wales game is the only football match worth looking forward to over the next few months.
