Was nice to be at an event somewhere other than Bloomfield Road, the room was excellently decorated and designed, to get the Prem team there was just the icing on the cake and gave the event some real gravitas, speeches were excellent and the auction well organised (even if a bit exclusive - was out of my price range) and was a fabulous first effort. Only negatives (and not so much negatives as observations) - wasn't that impressed by the food if I'm honest and felt the event could have done with a professional MC (no disrespect to those on the microphones but it 'went on a bit'!!)

I thought it was a great night, with us fans finally having something to smile about after a disastrous season. The team from 2010 were obviously a close knit bunch, and still are. The bottom line was that the night was to raise money towards a specialised chair for Parky. The raffle and auction raised £4,515 towards the £10,000 needed. A magnificent gesture from the players to donate the remaining £5,500 was the highlight of the evening for me. For what it's worth, I thought the food was good given that they were trying to serve 380 people at the same time All in all, it brought back some fantastic memories, I caught up with plenty of mates, and met a fair few new usernames, finally putting a face to a name. Sat next to Davepick and shared a table with Budgies Budgie and Hazi. Plus I managed to secure a signed picture of Sir Stan. Great night.
