International team rules 08:04 - May 13 with 1137 viewsSwan91

can someone tell me the rule in which a player who is from spain or a different country can play for wales after a certain amount of time?? is it possible?

for some reason I think of it as if someone played in a country for 5 years then they can play for the national team (as long as they have not played for their own country before)

I think it is 3 years however the British sides came to an agreement that they would not pick Europens on residency grounds

so because kyle bartley has been at Swansea for about 3 years now, he wont have a choice of playing for wales instead of england even if he has been here long enough???

also I thought januzaj had this option, in that he could play for england in the future if he wanted to..

We had some decent players on this basis before, e.g. pat van den hauwe mind you we had some rubbish ones as well, George berry.

Angel Rangel wants to play for wales, but can't even though his wife is welsh.

Janujaz was never eligible for England.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

As good as Rangel's been for us in the past, he's just about coming tot he end of his career.

Not going to get an international debut at 30 something is he.. (even if he was eligible)
