Two Questions on Scotland on 23:17 - Sep 6 with 892 views | Seasider91 | Well if they were to go independent they will not last. Their economy will be overly reliant on finite resources in oil and granite. also based on naming rules (Take for example Macedonia FYR) Scotland would be known as Scotland FUK if they were to leave the UK

But a lot of people think that if Scotland went independent, it would make it very, very difficult for Labour to ever form a Government in the rest of the UK in the future. I think some people would probably care quite a lot about that if it turned out to be true.

Two Questions on Scotland on 23:19 - Sep 6 with 892 views | bottle | Personally I like scots! Great people great accents and very intelligent and articulate -and love Edinburgh Fringe every year so biased!- I say AYE! Go for it and would move up there if they do! An independent Scotland means that we would never have a labour government again, so who can blame them for wanting what they always vote for!

The Yes campaign often say they don't have enough say into how the country is run and that they never get the government they voted for. Our last Prime Minister was Scottish, The one before him (Bliar) was Scottish, the son of a Bastard (and and carried on the tradition)!; The last two Chancellors of the Exchequer were Scottish; The last Government was Labour; No-one in the rest of GB votes Scottish Nationalist. There are around six million Scots, approx 10% of the total population of GB yet they always seem to carry more clout, not less. What concerns me is the cost to the English, Welsh and Northern Irish tax payer if and when they gain their independence. It will affect us all greatly. it will also be interesting to see what happens to the Orkneys and Shetlands where there is already a movement to gain independence from Scotland should it break away. Don't forget , they were originally Norwegian and still hold a candle for that part of the world. One effect it will have is that all Scots working elsewhere in the UK will immediately, upon separation, become foreigners as will other Uk citizens working in Scotland.

Tell you what they'd need to close the borders pretty quickly - our immigration problem in England would increase ten fold as all the sweaties come across the border to get away from that lunatic Salmond! They should just give him the Orkneys and tell him to fook off!!
