It just doesn't get any better than that and all I ever wanted was to see my team go up the Wembley steps to collect a trophy.
I've cried with Gazza, I've felt the pain of the hand of God and too many times I've seen golden generations be the finest shade of green. England used to mean the world to me but 1990 will never be repeated
I'm not that gutted and maybe I never will be again. In times of dark defeats, relegation and exits I will only have to turn my mind to one little song and it goes like this:-
