Southampton Away Support Numbers Still Healthy

This season has seen Saints get great backing at both home and away matches, despite relegation from the Premier League and following the good numbers that followed the team to Stoke City the next three away games are looking good.

The first of the road trips is the long trek to Hull City on Saturday, despite it being an almost 500 mile round trip Saints fans have snapped up all but a 100 or so seats of the 2,239 allocation.

But the hard core that go to all the away games face another long trip next Wednesday when we face another trip of a similar distance when we travel to Deepdale to take on Preston North End, there we have been allocated 1,968 tickets and it would seem that around the 1,400 mark have been sold so far.

After that comes the trip to South East London to take on Millwall, a much shorter trip and that has reflected in the number of tickets sold, the initial 2,000 tickets went quickly and the club obtained a further 1,000 to bring the total up to 3,005 and the final ones were sold this morning, meaning that the sale didn't get past season ticket holders only.

This is great support, especially the trip to Deepdale next week, truly one for the die hard fans in the supporter base.

Hopefully they will get the performance that this support deserves and we get the points that will push us up into the play positions and another step forward.
