Southampton Will Sanction Che Adams Loan Move If he Signs A New Contract !

Saints have no interest in letting Che Adams run down the last year of his contract on loan at another club and then see him leave for nothing, therefore he now has three options before the transfer window closes.

Southampton have been getting their business done early as the transfer window heads into its last 24 hours, but equally they are not being browbeaten by clubs interested in buying their players or for that interest the players themselves.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to be interested in signing Adams, but despite the fact that they have the cash, they don't seem to want to take the risk by buying him and are looking to try and negotiate a loan deal for the striker.

But Saints see no benefit in allowing Adams to run down his contract at Molyneaux or indeed anywhere else on loan, according to insidefutbol.com they have made it clear that although they will entertain a permanent transfer of somewhere north of £15 million, they are not prepared to wave goodbye to that sort of sum, just to save his wages and perhaps a small loan fee then see him leave for nothing next summer.

So they have made it clear to the player he has three options, firstly Wolves can buy him now on a permanent basis, secondly if he wants to move to Wolves on loan then he will need to sign a new 3 year contract at St Mary's to protect his worth or thirdly he can stay at St Mary's, either with a new contract signed or by staying on his old contract.

Perhaps Adams himself might consider just whether going to Molyneaux is actually worth it, they clearly do not have the confidence in his ability to lay money on the line now, strange given that here is a player who has been a steady player in the Premier League for the past 4 seasons.

Hopefully Saints will stick to their guns on this one, if they do then they will send a big message to the fans, that although every player has his worth and sometimes as in the case of Nathan Tella, when that worth is exceeded it is good business to let them go, that they will not be browbeaten into a deal if it is not right for Southampton FC.
