Georgina Marcella : An apology
On Sunday this website reported the concerning story of Connor Roberts being taken ill and was currently in hospital as a result of that illness. His fiancé Georgina Marcella sent a tweet regards this fact on the weekend. After considerable thought we felt it right that we published an article on Connor’s condition. As a result and after talking to Georgina we feel it is right to offer her and Connor an apology due to some of the stories content.
This website reported his illness in accordance with information we had from a journalist in Lancashire. Personally I am angered that I did not fact check all of the details and take full responsibility for the following.
1. That the hospital Connor was in was in a neighbouring county and not Lancashire.
2. That they had two other children when in fact this was entirely wrong. They are expecting their first child.
3. And the use of language to describe their relationship by using ‘girlfriend’ and not fiancé.
As the editor and owner of this website it is my complete responsibility that these matters went on to be published. We have had a remarkable recent history since September 2020 utilising any finance raised from this website for a very charitable cause. This information will be published in March 2022. These checkable facts should have been reversed at least, if not excluded all together.
Again, we apologise to both Connor and Georgina and wish them every happiness in the future.
