All Change At Right Back For Saints

According to Sky Sports it is about to be a case of one in and one out for Saints in the right back spot in the next day or so with one coming down from North London and another heading back in the same direction.

Sky Sports and other more credible sources are saying Saints are on the verge of completing the signing of Kyle Walker Peters on loan from Tottenham Hotspur although it is unclear whether an option to buy in the summer will be included in the deal.

Going in the other direction though could be Cedric Soares who is being linked with Spurs neighbour's Arsenal, again possibly a loan deal and with his contract up in the summer Saints would be happy to let him move on should they complete the KWP deal.

That will of course ask questions about Yan Valery's future at the club, the Saints youngster who has more experience than Walker Peters looked set to be the regular at right back ths season but has found himself out of the managers thoughts with various flimsy excuses for his absence suggesting all is not well off the field between club and player.

Another question will be who will play in the position at Spurs next week with Walker Peters being unable to play because he would have needed to have been signed before the date the first game at St Mary's was played.

It looks like the transfer merry go round is likely to start turning at St Mary's and it will be interesting to see if one or two more arrive and depart.
