Saints Announce Deodorant Brand Sure As New Official Partners

Saints have tied up a partnership with another major brand, this time Sure who you will instantly recognise for their distinctive deodorant logo.

Modern football clubs need to generate income streams from all areas, but this is where the average supporters is blissfully unaware of the work that the club does to attract and forge partnerships with major brand names.

Such is the profile of the club after the work done both on and off the pitch over the past couple of years that the partnerships we are now entering into are major name brands.

The latest is Sure and they will need no introduction with their distinctive logo and major advertising on TV, they have now become an official partner to Saints and have also announced that Fraser Forster will be an official ambassador and feature in their advertising.

This is good for Saints as it will bring the club into the public eye with one of their players being featured prominently in the latest advertising campaign.

The club themselves announced the tie in with Sure with a press release on the official club website.

Southampton Football Club is delighted to announce that Sure, Unilever’s market leading deodorant brand, has become an Official Partner.

Sure has also confirmed Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster will play a role as brand ambassador, featuring prominently throughout their #NeverMoreSure campaign.

Sure has been delivering long lasting protection against sweat and odour for over 50 years inspiring a fresh and confident approach for its target market.

The campaign will intrinsically link the brand’s approach to high pressure moments often experienced by players, managers and fans within football.

Sure will be creating regular content on its football-dedicated Twitter channel @Sure, using the hashtag #NeverMoreSure and highlighting how players perform in high pressure moments.

It’s the attitude of knowing how to perform and preparing for such moments that makes you #NeverMoreSure, something which Southampton players Charlie Austin and Nathan Redmond discuss in an exclusive piece of video content released on Southampton channels later this week.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Sure will offer a host of money-can’t-buy experiences in bespoke consumer competitions to Southampton fans, as well as match tickets and hospitality packages.

David Thomas, Commercial Director at Southampton FC, said: "Our ambition is to partner with brands that share our values and commitment to innovation and creativity, which is why we’re so delighted to be part of this exciting and unique partnership with Sure.

"This demonstrates another step forward for our club in terms of the quality and stature of brands that we are partnering with.”

Claudio Bellen, Senior Brand Manager of Sure UK & Ireland, said: "We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of Southampton Football Club. Football is the most watched sport in the UK and is a key passion point for the brand’s target audience.

"Through our partnership with Southampton FC, the brand will aim to leverage money can’t buy experiences and tickets to engage with Saints fans, whilst also providing exciting content and unique insights to add to their overall spectator experience through social channels.”

Top of the Table: Leeds finish 2024 at the summit after Stunning Team Goal!

Farke Seeks Improvement Despite Comfortable Win in the Fog
Even though we went back to the top of the table Daniel Farke thought we should have won more comfortably, but we were more than good enough to beat a woeful Stoke City. For the third time in 2024 a Leeds win cost an opposing manager his job, after Narcis Pelach was called in to collect his P45 yesterday morning.

Our first visit to Derby County four five years is at 5.45pm tomorrow, which has of course been dictated by Sky Sports. We’re not famous any more!
