Boxing Day Clash Kick Off Time Changed

Saints fans will have plenty of time to go to the Boxing Day sales after the home game against Arsenal has had its kick off time changed for tv.

Saints will now host the Gunners on Boxing Day at 7.45pm in the evening instead of the usual lunchtime or 3pm kick off.

The game will be televised by BT Sports and as usual for the sake of TV squeezing in as many games as possible, it is the football fan who actually attends games who suffers.

Boxing Day is a game when most supporters like to attend the game and then get home and sit in front of the TV with their family, now a peaceful evening will be ruined by the fact that Saints fans will not be home much before 10.30pm in the evening and being Boxing Day there is no public transport.

It will be worse for the travelling Arsenal supporters, they will not be getting home much before midnight.

As a knock on affect the away game on the 28th at West ham is now a 5.30pm kick off, this does not seem to be announced as a TV game, at least as much that the Saints official website makes no mention of it being moved for TV only that it is being moved back due to the Arsenal game being moved back.
