Saints Have A Chance To Put Pressure On The Top 10 Tonight

Saints have a good chance to exert a little pressure on their rivals tonight being the only club in the top 8 to play.

Saints are the only team in the top 10 of the Premier league to play on the Tuesday with the rest fulfilling their midweek fixture on the Wednesday, that being the case a Saints win will not only see Saints jump over Liverpool back to 5th, but leave a gap between themselves and the clubs in 8th and below that would be hard to broach.

So who has everyone else got ?

Manchester United face a tough trip to Newcastle United, the Toon havent been in great form but they like to raise their game against United and are capable of an upset lets hope so.

Arsenal travel to QPR, Rangers are no pushover at home and also face Spurs in the only Premier league game on Saturday, six points from these two games would not only send them soaring clear of the bottom three but would do Saints no end of good, ideally for Saints QPR would of course take the maximum, but if they don't two or four points would be best.

Stoke start the midweek in 10th 7 points behind Saints so ideally they wont beat Everton at home tonight, Im not bothered whether it is an Everton win or a draw as long as Stoke don't win and get too close to comfort to us. Everton certainly have something to play for, they could find themselves a bit too close to the relegation spots if they lose and other results go against them.

West Ham host Chelsea and the Blues will be looking to stretch their lead at the top and if they do it could end the Hammers hopes of a top six finish.

Perhaps th only games of the evening in the top 10 I would put any money on are the games between Manchester City and Leicester as well as Liverpool V Burnley, its hard to see either being anything other than home wins, perhaps the City match matter less to us but it would be great for Liverpool to fail to win, if that was to happen and we were to beat Palace then we would go into the break for the FA Cup with a huge psycological adavantage.

But first before any of these teams play we need to do our job and get back to winning ways.
