Cheapest pies in the country
Dale have been rated as having the cheapest pies in the country according to a BBC survey into the price of modern day football, and have also been rated as one of the cheapest days out in the country too.
The survey was conducted by the Beeb and is one of the biggest surveys ever of its kind. It looked into all aspects of the game and the cost to supporters, with Dale coming out very favourably.
The pies at £2 were the cheapest in the country, whilst a day out at Spotland (Cheapest admission + a cup of tea, a pint and a matchday programme) was classed as the third cheapest in the country.
In terms of the cheapest admission into Spotland, only Morecambe and Accrington offer admission that is cheaper than the £15 that it costs to get into the Sandy Lane Terrace.
