Connolly Or Guly Up Front On Saturday ?

Who will Nigel Adkins play up front at Pride Park

For the visit of Watford Nigel Adkins rested David Conolly who had picked up a minor knock, however with the two week break the Irish striker is now likely to be fit, so does the manager keep a winning side or restore Connolly to the starting line up.

Its a difficult decision in that Guly played well and scored against the Hornets, whereas Connolly had had four barren games in goalscoring terms, although some would say that this wasnt entirely his fault as the midfield had struggled to get the ball to him.

Guly for that matter has been scoring both from midfield and in his run out up front in the last game.

The decision might be made a little easier after Steve De Ridder's performance against Watford, although it showed the odd touch of skill, in the main he drifted out of the game the longer it went on and this could be the clinching factor for Adkins, he might see De Ridder as more of an impact player coming off the bench than a starter.

If thats the case then it could be likely that we will revert to the original front running duo of Connolly & Lambert with Guly resuming his midfield role.

Of course it might not be that simple, especially after Lee Holmes little cameo role against Watford,
