Redshaw leaves Spotland

In an otherwise quiet week at Spotland, striker Jack Redshaw has left the club by mutual agreement having failed to break into the first team picture during his six months at the club.

Redshaw has quickly become this season's forgotten man, having arrived at the club in the Summer with plenty of hype and expectation following his release from Man City.

After impressing in a couple of pre-season friendlies, he picked up an injury at Rossendale, and his career at Dale seemed to be on the back foot ever since.

He made a solitary start for the club in the JPT game at Port Vale, where he was well off the pace, and aside from that he had two sub appearances in League One.

So after all that, it was no surprise to see him leave the club in a move that will suit both parties.
