Plymouth Argyle football consultant Peter Ridsdale says he doesn’t yet know whether striker Rory Fallon will join the Blues permanently when his loan ends on January 22nd. A provisional deal and fee had been agreed between the clubs during Roy Keane’s time as Town manager if the New Zealand international impressed in his two-month spell.
Ridsdale said: "I don’t know what’s going to happen to Fallon. That’s up in the air given the situation with the Ipswich management.”
Fallon, 28, has scored one goal in four starts and two sub appearances since joining the Blues but has also assisted a couple more Town strikes.
Meanwhile, former Blues loanee Andros Townsend, who scored on his Tottenham debut in a 3-0 FA Cup victory over Charlton at the weekend, says he believes he did well during his time with the Blues.
The midfielder’s spell was cut short last month having been in and out of the Town side since signing on loan for the season in August.
He said: "I thought I played well when I was given the chance at Ipswich. I just took my form into the Charlton match and hopefully I have shown everyone here what I can do.
"I would like to stay here but I might have to go on another loan and prove myself to the manager and the coaching staff.
"I haven't spoken to the manager about it. Maybe in the next few days we'll sit down and see where my future lies."
