Well as I said before I see us coming like 13th’ish now as long as no other major player is sold. Still it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on in the prem compared to how Adams did in his first season.

Fingers crossed that we have pulled off at least three signings that are going to be absolute gems. And, even if they are sold in a couple of years time for substantial fees, at least the club won't be in administration or receivership any time soon. Great news.

We can bring in all the firepower in the world... but the defence and keeper needs addressing.

This is good news. It's not guaranteed that Armstrong will continue his Championship goalscoring form in the Premier League but he has great pace which is a key factor at this level, and with the brilliant Livramento creating lots of chances for him, he should be fine. It would be great if they could both play at Everton. Now, we need to ask Bournemouth if they would please take Long back and, with Broja coming in from Chelsea, maybe they could take Obafemi on loan too.

Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process.
