He’s starting to look a real handful and gradually scoring more goals. Hopefully the club can get him on a long term contract as he’ll be worth a few quid if this carries on.
Wagner group 60 miles outside Moscow according to reports and 25,000 strong. They’ve already taken Rostov-on-Don (Russian military HQ) and military supplies. Putin’s reported to have fled Moscow.
Not sure how this all ends but Wagner group taking control of nuclear weapons probably isn’t a good outcome for the rest of the world.
Hopefully Ainsworth will have seen enough today to realise that a centre back partnership of Dunne and Dickie will likely get us relegated. They’re too slow, making too many mistakes every game and barely communicate with one another.
It’s been the same story over the last few months and I’m surprised Critchley didn’t move to a back three with wing backs. Either that or we need JCS and / or Balogun back quickly but I wouldn’t hold my breath on either of them.
Watching MOTD and I see a blatantly offside goal given for Brentford vs Arsenal despite VAR having a good look at the goal. The VAR referee none other than our old mate Lee Mason who apparently forgot to draw the offside lines.
Now I’m sat here wondering if football is completely bent as we all remember Lee Mason has an affiliation to Manchester based football clubs or is it a coincidence that they always seem to benefit from his dubious decisions.
Hard to see many (any?) leaders in this group. It’s the quietest and nicest QPR team that I can remember watching. I don’t think I’ve heard one of them shout all season. A team of nice young lads who you wouldn’t mind if your daughter brought home for Sunday lunch.
Unfortunately the lack of leadership and experience means that no one is taking responsibility on the pitch when the chips are down. I’d wager that it’s why we collapsed last season and regularly go on winless runs of 5/6 games at a time because there’s a lack of leadership and experience in the changing room.
This is why Beale signed Balogun but he’s now gone awol. I know this goes against the status quo but Critchley’s priority this window has to be one or two leaders who will let the other players know when the performances are unacceptable. It doesn’t need to cost a fortune. Warnock signed Derry and Hill for peanuts and they helped transform the club.
It’s a continuous problem we’ve had over the past few years and it needs to be addressed sharpish.
Probably a fair assessment overall. A disappointing week but it’s a long season and can’t get too carried away with the highs and lows over a week or two. Better to focus on the bigger picture.
Get the injured players fit again during the break, particularly Willock. And we go again in December.
Before anyone says ‘he’s not our player any more’ let’s remember that we have a reported 30% sell on clause so it’s in our interest for him to have a good season. Maybe Newcastle will switch their attention to Eze if they can’t sign Maddison for £50m+
Either way it’s good to see him shining again after his injury last season.
