| News Comment | Spencer settles Pompey riot on the pitch – History at 09:25:21
Was there at that match in 1997, I always assumed it was an organised and synchronised bit of hooliganism by Pompey as I recall trouble kicking off in different corners of the ground at the same time. But perhaps allowing the fans into the same areas wasn't the best idea in hindsight. |
| News Comment | End of Term Report 23/24 – Goalkeepers at 11:29:37
Begovic's "we go again" comment after Coventry fills me with a dark terror. Let's hope that the new CEO, who seems to be very shrewd and is doing a top job so far makes some changes to the goalkeeping recruitment policies. |
| News Comment | Faint hope, same failings, familiar faces – Report at 10:11:10
Surely a Begovic assist for the Adomah goal? :) As a Plymouth resident I desperately wanted to win this, so I'm not sure I'll ever be able to forgive Smyth and Begovic for their faux pas. Agree about the security, what was that all about? I got frisked twice, once at the front of the ground and again at the entrance to the away end. I also got asked to show my ticket again when returning to my seat after having a halftime pee, how did they think I got in the ground in the first place?! Overall a good performance by the lads which bodes well for next season. |
| News Comment | Plymouth fret League One return after Foster misstep – Oppo profile at 12:10:38
Stories emanated from the training ground of unhappy players caused by Foster making them train on Sundays and generally treating them like children, they all had to stay sat down at mealtimes until he'd left etc. I guess his methods didn't transfer very well from the youth international set up to club level. He lost the dressing room basically. The Argyle fans and players are going to be right up for this, if the QPR players are planning on phoning this one in, we are going to lose. |
| News Comment | The season of evil begins with the birth of a new year – Report at 11:03:44
Concerning to hear talk of the players sulking around the training ground because of being made to train and play games on successive days. This group of disfunctional individuals needs breaking up and a fresh start is required with players who actually want to be at qpr. Sadly, it may take relegation to facilitate this. Relegation may also hopefully see a change of ownership. |
| News Comment | Harrington takes Plymouth game - Referee at 12:03:44
Sound like one of those refs with potential to go a bit Rob Styles on occasion. Here's hoping that we continue to make our own luck under Marti. |
| News Comment | Birmingham/Leeds/Huddersfield/West Brom – Awaydays at 12:57:51
Say what you like about the French, but we just did 2000 miles top to bottom and back in our motorhome in the summer. Their roads are incredible, we encountered just one minor traffic jam over the two weeks due to a light collision. Our roads are geared towards making money, nothing more. Our safety and convenience are total after thoughts. We should introduce toll roads and actually spend the money on proper efficient and safe roads. I'd rather pay that than the stealth camera fines which as you say, makes the roads less safe and are a cash cow. |
| News Comment | Each goal more farcical and easier to score than the last - Report at 10:06:48
I've provisionally booked two days off work to travel up to watch the Plymouth game in December, don't think I'll bother now. I've managed to travel up from Devon for about 7 or 8 games in the past 3-4 seasons, the last game I saw us win and actually got any sort of enjoyment out of was when we beat Preston when Eze was still with us. Grim times indeed. |
