I do think they could work together. Edwards and Fox did well today, albeit against a poor Plymouth side, so Edwards with JCS would be an upgrade on that pairing.

Should we ever have all CBs available, I dare say Cook and JCS would be first choice.

Arsenal go through scoring 4 pens to our 2

Still, a brilliant effort from our lads. They should be proud of themselves.

We're not 'safe'. It may feel unlikely we'd plummet down the league now but we need another 12 to 15 points to ensure we keep our place in the Championship.

My highlight was discovering the feeling of dread during the last 10 minutes that Plymouth were going to equalise was entirely misplaced. Thank you, QPR. That was very nice.

Saito Alfie Lloyd. Twice the player we thought we had.

I'm feeling strangely positive and marking down a 2-1 win, so blame me if it goes belly up.

Yes, and late in the summer transfer window. But the club will have known Dykes was moving on earlier than that and could have lined up a replacement. In the end, they decided to stick with Celar and Frey who already had their numbers.

I can't add much more than what's already been said other than he was literally a legend in his own lifetime. Played with that cheeky smile. Loved by so many and, being a Scot, I was absolutely one of them.

The 6, 8 and 10 positions that nix posts about are pretty standard and have been for a long time.

Talking of squad numbers, it's rather strange we don't have a no 9 this season. It makes you wonder if they had reserved that shirt for a player who ended up not coming in.

I'm always interested in the team formation. It's not a static thing within a game - defending and attacking shapes are obviously different - and it can also change from game to game. But, there is usually a basic shape in which teams set up.

What formation do people think Marti's using of late? It's changed from 4231 to either 433 or 4141. What do people think?

Yeah, I think you're right. I've no idea how Brum will deal with it.
