Absolutely f*ucked and £450 down for a day out but worth every penny
I agree with number 1 and it would be my only criticism of the day. A significant number of Saints fans are a reserved lot and it’s just the reality. Not even me screaming maniacally “you’re not watching a f*ucking film” at them got them roused.
Anyway it was a very special day that will live long in the memory.
1. We really managed the end of the game well. For the last 15 mins Leeds had nearly all the possession but we defended well and when we had the ball we played it to the corners a denied them even more possession. 2. Our flags worked better than their scarves.
With respect I think most of the posts on this thread have missed the point. My reading of Pat’s post is that it’s aimed at us the fans. He’s saying that it’s no good just to go along for the day out. We’re part of the occasion and need to appreciate that we can, and should, make a difference. Everybody has got to give it absolutely everything they’ve got for the whole game. No one should have a voice left at the end. We have to do what we did last Friday and roar the team on and out sing Leeds.
Spot on SFC. The sitters should think of it as ‘stand, give it your all and get to the Prem or sit and endure another season of Plymouth, Blackburn and Stoke’.
Some Saints fans can be a bit on the passive side but they really turned up and turned it up on Friday. Very impressive. Can we do it again? I’m not saying the club with the loudest fans will win on Sunday but the crowd can and will make a difference.
The Saints site won’t process my application for a membership (I’ve got a purchase history prior to 11/5/24. Is it possible to buy a membership at the moment?
Why can’t we sack him now? In my view with him in charge our chances of winning promotion are about 5%. Put maybe Stuart Armstrong and KWP in charge of training and team selection I reckon we stand a 10% chance. Still low but can’t be worse than where we are now.
This was utter dogsh*t. Never even looked close to beating them. There’s no way we’re going to win a play off on this performance. I’m for getting rid of him before the play offs.
Just reading the thread on this game on Saints Web. There’s a lot of fans who couldn’t give a f*uck about this game. That’s dreadful. The Club is part of you if you’re a fan so not giving a f*uck about Saints is not giving a f*uck about yourself.
You get the Club you deserve so if the fans are indifferent about the Club you get an indifferent Club. I’d rather have fewer really committed fans than lots of spectators.
