Thorpe + Rosenoir on Brizzle game
at 12:49 16 Dec 2024

I thought we incredibly poor first half not a great deal better second. As I live nearby I know a lot of Bristol C fans and generally they were shocked how bad we were considering our from.

I think (hope) the Wed match and then playing 12.30 on Saturday had a big influence. Hope so because that first half was one of the worst I can remember, no shots on or off target and 27% possession against a very average Championship side.

Personal match records?
at 20:34 15 Dec 2024

Weirdly I’ve been to the Hawthorns twice and nearly matched you, saw the 3v3 and the 4v1 win when we were in the Prem, so 11 goals in 2 games.

Personal match records?
at 10:11 15 Dec 2024

I wonder if anyone else keeps personal match records. I now attend around 8-12 QPR matches a season, mainly due to where I live and having a busy family. I’ve kept a written record of every match I’ve been to (a bit sad I admit). This has resulted in a few unusual personal results records, the highlight being that I’ve now watched QPR at Ashton Gate 8 times and never seen us lose! (6 draws, 2 wins).

Not such a good record is never seen us score at Cov’s new stadium despite being to 3 matches.

I’ve started taking my son in the last few years and although he is pretty unlucky when we go to Loftus Rd has a remarkable away record of W6 D6 L1 (lost his unbeaten record at Derby)

Any other odd personal records?

It’s great being local, not sure I’ve ever seen QPR live and been home for 15.30!

Utterly dreadful first half, as bad as Oxford. Improved in the second half, Lloyd made a difference.City must be really upset they didn’t win that.

Great goal from Smyth and brilliant week results wise if not performances. Bigger picture is a little worrying as we can’t play like we did for most of City and Oxford match and expect to beat any side.

QPR v Bristol City match thread

This is the big one for me, effectively my local derby being born and bred just down the road. If I could pick one match to win every season this would be it.

Cant say I’m overly confident, feel our recent results have outweighed our performances and starting with either Kolli who has been unwell or Lloyd as only Striker is ridiculous.

…I’ll take a point and move on!

I thought the same, possibly worst performance I’ve ever seen at this level. Not sure how they have amassed the points they have so far this season, surely going down.

I’m a bit of a burger connoisseur, Honest burger is very, very good. The best I’ve tried are Beefy Boys but they are based in Hereford with only a a few branches over in this direction.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Willock, Willock what’s the score chants at the end, great stuff.

Offered a contract but made the decision to go to a rival club, at times his attitude when at Rangers was questionable. Looking at his performance last night and that he can’t get in the Cardiff side I’d say good riddance.

Not sure they ‘let’ Celar score, 2 great finishes.

Comment on Derby is odd, totally outplayed us and far worse teams in the division

5 from Weston-s-Mare. I’ve got a good record at the ground personally not convinced it will continue though!

His lob over the keeper away at WBA was a great goal.

I stayed up there for the 2v2 away match (Deing’s goal) and despite a frustrating result for them every fan I met was very friendly and good for a chat. Very good fanbase.

Repeating myself here but absolutely criminal we went into the season with Frey and Celar as only senior strikers, with 1 Championship goals between them. Myself and many others called it out at the time. Selling Dykes and Armstrong made sense to me and we got fair transfer fees but only sell if you are going to get at least 1 back in.

I’m not sure an average works, that’s like is finishing 21st, 21st 11th and 11th and suggesting we always finish 16th because that is the average! Reality is only finished 16th once (not even 15th or 17th), I suggest (haven’t checked) we have spent a fair bit of time there during the season though.

Always hope for Bristol Rovers away when QPR are drawn and never get it, one go with Weston-s-Mare (I watch them regularly) and we get them! Good West Country derby!

I go and watch WSM regularly as it is my local team, hoping for a great draw for them tomorrow they have only made round 1 a handful of times, would be great to see Dykes and Brum come down to the West Country! Impressive that Lowestoft got 1200 there yesterday.
