| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 04:54:44 OK, we can't score, but at least our defence is pretty solid. We are 9th because of them. In most sports, hockey, American Football, basketball, good defence wins out over a team that is offence oriented. All we need is one or two guys that can make this forward line click. Pray for a magical, black box, signing in January then watch out. Santa is listening. Probably dreaming, right? |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 22:33:22 Good result considering the home team are strong and physical, unbeaten at new home. Only a few Saints voices (God bless them for their passion) in a partisan crowd. Not our strongest team by far, so it was important to get a point. Some gaffs but on the whole they worked well as a unit. Long seems lost and frustrated. Lots of effort by Tadic and Redmond, Cuco and JWP. Virgil solid as always and Romeu was a mid-field rock. Need our strongest team for Inter. Same effort on Sunday and we should get some point(s) at Leicester. |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 03:43:32 I know it's early days but today was against Watford! Scraped into PL. I know we will settle down eventually but we need a shot of confidence. Clean sheets are good but everyone loves to see goals. Goals win games. I've been saying for months that we need Charlie Austin. Proven goal scorer (4 already) and an excellent alternative to our one and only true big man, Pelle. He is there waiting for someone to pay £15m for....a bargain! Get him and Van Dijk and we are set. Probably £25m for the two, but we can afford them. Caulker and Romeu look to be good pick ups but it's a long season. We need depth, cover and alternates for the injuries that are bound to happen. Next week we need to win in Denmark and win in the league on Sunday but at this point in time I'm not confident of either. |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 17:38:28 What an arrogant ass LVG is. He was out classed/played by RK in both our matches. Said we were lucky, I didn't see any luck in our goal at all, it was well executed. Van Persie was the lucky one in our last game. LVG just hates Ronald outdoing him. We have certainly the team to keep us in the top four, barring major injuries or suspensions. Like to keep it going with a win at Newcastle, then it gets a little easier for a while. Still would like more firepower up front this window. Elia looks like he could be a handful. He looked confident and well suited to fit in. I loved the congrats he gave Tadic after the game, looked genuine. Onwards and upwards! |
