🤣🤣🤣🤣 It will all be fine. It's the current US leaders and NATO who are the problem. Ukraine will be sorted and that will be the end of that. Putin has absolutely no interest in anything other than what he has already stated. I don't believe the media nonsense about him wanting to take over the world and all that claptrap. That's just stuff spouted solely to justify selling (or donating, using our taxes to pay for them) even more weapons to Ukraine. Trump is not a problem to world peace. Quite the opposite in fact (he'll bring an end to all the wars the US and NATO are starting at their paymasters behest) [Post edited 29 Jun 18:02]

Why god help us? At least he didn't go rampaging around the world starting wars (because he isn't a front man or puppet for the military industrial complex) during his previous time in office. The world will be a safer place with Trump in office (because at least he actually will be in control and won't start the wars the military industrial complex demands). BTW, I'm not a Trump fan. Bloke is an ignoramus. But the world will be safer with him innoffoce than some puppet of the military industrial complex [Post edited 29 Jun 13:34]

But he isn't really though, is he? He doesn't know what day of the week it is never mind anything more important. He is merely a 'front' for the persons who are actually running the country (namely, the military industrial complex) |

The difference is he is on a fixed term contract, so he cannot be made redundant without paying up his contract in full (which is very different to the 'real world' where people are employed on 'open ended' contracts) |

I play golf with a couple of lads who were involved in the development of the software used by Brentford and Brighton. Really interesting listening to them explaining little bits about how it all works. It was all top secret when they were working at the relevant firms, but they're both retired now so can talk about it a little more openly |

This ^ I'd also pull all EFL teams out of the FA Cup and start a new cup which includes everyone who usually enters, except for PL clubs. Fcuk the PL. |

But it's not just those games though. It's a whole childhood and young adulthood spent absolutely loving heading a football. Noone can take that away from me. I loved every minute. What will be will be. Life is full of risks, but I don't let them stop me doing anything I want to do |

I played football to semi-pro level. My game was based on being very good in the air/heading the ball. I took.immense enjoyment from it as a child and young adult. I wouldn't swap those years of enjoyment from heading a football for anything. If I get dementia as a result, so be it. It would still have been worth it for such a brilliant childhood and young adulthood. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Life is for living, and living is never risk free. What is the point of living if you don't live it to the full? Why are we trying to keep everyone alive forever ffs? It's pathetic. |

This stuff about military spending is b**locks spread by the military industrial complex. We are an island. We have nuclear weapons on submarines patrolling our borders. We don't need an army. Make it clear that if anyone even attempts to attack us we will immediately nuke their country. Job done. Armies are not the answer and never will be. [Post edited 23 May 21:21]

It took the last 14 years or so to unpick the sh1tshow of the labour years before that. Would rather cut my arms and legs off than vote labour. |

As much as it pains me to say it, it's probably best for us in the short and longer term if Leeds go up. So Leeds it is please. Be funny to see them getting spanked again in the PL next year though (although I suspect that they'll stay up because Leicester and Ipswich will be coming straight back down, plus Forest) |
![](/images/avatars/0.gif) | Forum Thread | Ipswich at 05:35 1 May 2024
If they go up, then when they inevitably get relegated next season it will mean yet another team doped up on Prem parachute payments which we have to compete with 🤦♂️. In all honesty, we'd be better off with Leeds going up (not that I want Leeds to go up of course).. On a related note, if Ipswich do go up then that's yet another team who have gone up to the Prem with successive promotions. Norwich and Southampton did it as well, which proves that sometimes going down to L1 can be a good thing if you use the time wisely. [Post edited 1 May 5:37]
