With respect guys, I am surprised at how sensible the posts have been regarding this news. If press headlines are to be believed, Swans fans are ready to revolt, turning against management and already anti Clements. So refreshing to see major Liberty news taken calmly and logically. Of course AC is a Swansea legend, serving us well over the years and has stepped in whenever needed. However, he has also been the second in command when things have gone wrong in recent years. I can therefore understand that the new gaffer wants a new broom although like everyone else I don't know the details of the change. Lets wait to hear the details before formulating any opinions on the circumstances surrounding the change of role and the future role, if any, of the legend that is Alan Curtis in our club. Positive support for the team and the new manager is vital to maintain player morale. A second away win this week end will surely help build that morale. |

A small point in the scheme of things today but oh so true and typical of the game today. He won a penalty is another one that I hate. What the ....? To 'win' a penalty illustrates that there had been some effort on the part of the so called victim. Crap. |

Congrats to International Paralympic Committee for issuing a blanket ban on Russian Paralympians. Wish the IOC had the same courage. Clean athletes unfortunately have to be sacrificed for the future of all sport. |

It's me again. As an ex exam officer I can tell you that the school can apply for 'Special Consideration' and as long as the completed assessment work e.g written examination or performance, depending on the subject, not counting the missing piece, is more that 50% of the full assessment, most boards that I dealt with would give the candidate a grade. |

Sorry Skippyjack but it seems to me that you either had a bad experience with a teacher or because of your basic lack of intelligence or effort at school, you are looking for someone to blame for your lack of social skills and status in this qualification driven world. Look to your own inadequacies before you try to criticise others about things that you obviously know nothing about. |

This type of ignorant teacher bashing by someone who either doesn't have the intelligence of is so blinkered that they are not prepared to see the extreme stress and dedication of most of the teaching profession, makes me sick. My and I have taught for forty years and I as an examinations officer for 10. I totally understand the stresses that many teachers feel and I also know how difficult it is to deal with uncooperative students who don't follow the advice of teachers and then complain when things have not gone their way (not saying that this is what happened at Maesydderwen). Shadow a dedicated teacher for a week and you will soon eat your words. |

As a now retired examination officer in a large international school and examinations inspector for an international examinations board, I know that the examination board will not accept complaints or appeals from parents or students. You must meet with the teacher, The Headmaster and the examinations officer to find out the EXACT circumstances surrounding: 1. The assessment and how it was carried out, 2. The rules surrounding the completion of the assessment e.g. was it done only in school or was some of it completed at home, 3. How the work was collected and packaged, 4. Did your son change topics mid coursework, did he inform the teacher and did the teacher accept the new topic? 5. Who packed the courseworks and were there any departmental checks etc. As an ex exam. officer, I know how difficult this job is. I obviously don't know the school situation although I attended Ystalyfera G.S. many moons ago!! but exam officers often have a teaching commitment and this can clearly interfere with the EO's efficiency. This is little or no help to you or your son but even Heads don't understand the pressures that EO's work under especially at examination time. You must meet with the school as soon as school reopens or earlier if they will agree. Depending on the Exam Board, they will accept examination enquiries for some weeks after term starts. I hope that the matter is resolved successfully but one word of advice; the expletive that you used in your initial post will get you no where either with the school or the exam board. May justice and truth and honesty prevail. |

Like everyone else, we don't really know. Personally I would love him to stay but having been such a stalwart of the club and Wales for many years he deserves to have a high profile club as his final CV entry. For that reason I would be happier if he went to Arsenal so that he can also add Champions League involvement to that CV. Good luck Ash whatever happens but we need you here for this season at least. |

Always liked him for pace and guaranteed to give all. He wants to return to the club which is more than can be said of some on our books. Welcome back Nathan. Hope you will bring some of the Leicester luck with you!! |
