They have some tricky games. Their points tally from those three games will probably tell us a lot. |

Ipswich just keep winning though. They are now 13 points clear of us. We arn't going to catch them are we. There is little difference between finishing 3rd or 4th. To finish in the top two we need to catch Ipswich, not Leeds. [Post edited 12 Dec 2023 22:31]

Don't worry, you won't need to ban me, despite not using any abusive language whatsoever. This will be my last post. But let it be known, that your threatening words of being "riled up" and "angry" isn't the reason. I just would rather not keep being told to be like a Liverpool fan on a Saints forum. Over and out. |

I am really not interested in keep hearing about Liverpool, the spirit of shankly 🤮 and how great they are from the owner of a Saints forum. I certainly will not be going to their website. And they stopped Anfield from being overrun from tourists - that's the funniest lie I have ever heard!!! You really are deluded and biased about your club. Who do you want to win when Saints play them. You're one of those who stands up and cheers for Liverpool arn't you in the home end and / or you give your mates tickets. Liverpool this, Liverpool that. That hated club, with a large number of disrespectful fans, hardly needs extra support from a supposed "Saints fan". And your post is a load of nonsense and I'm not wrong. A good leader is hands-on and would get involved in everything, Cortese did. You say they can't stop away fans, they can - only allow fans on the database to buy tickets who have been to at least 6 games last season. Season ticket holders giving their seats to away fans, take away their season tickets and ban them. There we are, no data needed, no meetings needed, problem solved in 10 seconds with an action. It's not impossible at all, just bring in a policy like that. It won't stop it 100% but it would help a lot. The day trippers, one game a season plastics, wouldn't get in. Problem solved. Why do you say they couldn't do that, when they could? Real life, real decisions, not numbers on a computer screen. That's what's wrong with the world today. Slamming fans on your forum and turning it round to blaming them for feeling frustrated about various other things is terrible. Instead of understanding the frustration of fans, you blame them, criticise them and then compare us to a club we all hate. Anyway, you clearly want to argue how great Liverpool are, how bad the Saints fans are and it's our fault for not complaining enough to the club, not having the spirit of shankly and how we don't fill our stadium so just have to put with away fans in home sections because it's all our fault and impossible to deal with. Yeah I can see your view and can see how you feel about our supporters and how it is different to how you feel about the supporters of your beloved Liverpool. You would be better off running a Liverpool forum and then you can enjoy all your positive posts about spirit of shankly, the passionate support, winning nearly every game, winning trophies, how the stadium is always full and how they respected the death of a 96 year old old lady. So I clearly see your view, as a Liverpool supporter, for which I do not want to be a part of, because I can't stand the club. You just need to change the name of your forum and fill it with plastics. [Post edited 14 Sep 2022 17:28]

He has just lost his mother, and is now thrown into a full time job with massive responsibility at 72 years old, when most people are retired by then. He is doing lots of public duty at the moment, and his mum has just died. I think we can forgive for being a bit stressed as you say. [Post edited 14 Sep 2022 15:11]

I have emailed them about this, and I have also emailed them about the low away allocations. I have not received a response. The person at the top is responsible Nick. The ticket office manager is under the direction of those above them. The top man should be ensuring the smooth running of everything. The ticket office manager will be told to take low away allocations for example or will be told to keep postage costs down, staff costs or whatever it is that's causing this. As for Gao, this sort of thing did happen a lot actually and still is - promising big screens, low away allocations, scanners not working, dirty stadium, away fans in home areas, nothing has changed. I have emailed about this too, believe you me, I emailed about away fans in the home sections and many other things, including getting squashed on the way out of St Mary's after games, walking up to the footbridge. They either send a generic response back or they don't answer. It does need lots of fans to complain, I agree with you but many more would, if you didn't keep standing up for the club on things that arn't acceptable. We certainly do need a proper fans group, but not one headed by someone who keeps standing up for a really poor service that's for sure. I stand up for Ralph, and many other things when it's right to do so. But to keep not sending out tickets game after game, to keep having away fans in the home sections year after year, to lie to the fans about away ticket policies is not acceptable is it? Unfortunately, there is a sense that many of our fans are too polite to do anything, but the less polite ones, in the Itchen North get thrown out and banned. I get the feeling they don't care if the stadium was half empty. Most of their money comes from TV deals, so protesting wouldn't make much difference. As for Liverpool and the other top clubs, they do need their billions of supporters around the world, there is more coverage so these fans have a bit more power. You seem to forget their status and how this makes it much easier for the club but also their fans. A few hundred Saints fans, they would just ban them and it would get little media coverage, but that's not the point. The few thousand loyal Saints fans who are upset about something, should be listened to. We shouldn't have to fight on the streets should we? I have sent emails about tickets, and I'm sure many other have chasing them, just send them out in time. It can't be that difficult!! [Post edited 14 Sep 2022 14:54]

Or more likely Saints didn't ask the question, as they don't seem to care much about the supporters nowadays, and getting a small allocation of tickets in the post, is far too difficult for them, as it is. Fact is, they would prefer it if we don't go at all. As for the having to get tickets in the very first week, like it or not, yes indeed, welcome to the modern world. You buy your tickets (which they can't seem to post out), book your hotel, get your train tickets, and then they change the date for TV and move the game. Happy days indeed. |

Fans not getting to the games, is not their area if responsibility, remember. They have a family to be with. In fact, they would like it, if there were no fans at all. Clear out the Itchen north, take an allocation of only 100 for each away game, don't send us tickets in the post, after paying for them, so we can't get in - they are on their way to stopping us all. They are like most things these days, you ring up (if you can get through) and then speak to idiots, who might as well be automated computers. They don't care and just give some pre-planned response. I don't remember this being a problem before a couple of years a go. This is all a new thing. |

It is terrible, badly treated. It's like trying to get blood out of a stone and all we want to do is get our tickets to support the team. |
| Forum Reply | Sending out tickets late for away games at 22:25 13 Sep 2022
And it seems to be happening, every single game. They only had 1500 to send out. Anyone would think they don't want us at the games. [Post edited 13 Sep 2022 22:26]

And how much do we get per league place, when the extra fans make such a difference? You say the fans can make a difference? And those seats for Villa are not on sale. Have a look at the link. It's says unavailable. So you're wrong and making things up, it will be empty. The only section to say that. They haven't sold out in other sections to their own fans, so they won't open up the away section to home fans will they until they sell out the normal home areas. You're wrong, it will be empty. Actually look in more detail at the link and do your own research instead of naively just accepting what the club says. There are lots of home tickets unsold across Villa park as the link shows, with only a few days left so as I said isn't stupid to leave a section empty. I won't expect a response, being as I have proved a fact, that the section is not available for sale and won't be until Villa sell out their normal home tickets, which they won't, just like the last time we went there and only took the lower tier. "The sections will not be empty, they will sell tickets to their own fans, probably for about £50 instead of the £30 they have to charge away fans under the away fans charter" Oh really? They can't sell their £35 tickets! I'm sure it must be an amazing section, but I'm sure they won't be spending £15 more to sit there! [Post edited 12 Sep 2022 16:41]

https://tickets.avfc.co.uk/en-GB/events/aston%20villa%20v%20southampton/2022-9-1 Instead the section will be completely empty. This may be Villa as well but what a bunch of idiots. Lots of our fans want to go, but instead the section will be empty. Even if they sold.half of it, it's better than nothing at all is it. Can't you see Nick, the idiocy of the whole saga. Today's graduates and business elite. Leave a whole section empty rather than make money on it and upset a load of people at the same time. Yeah, sounds about right in today's world. The fuss is, we are heading down a path that we don't like. I remember away at Liverpool, when one of your friends from there asked why we didn't take the full allocation and you felt embarrassed. YOU said it yourself in your match review. It was the club again, who decided.on the smaller allocation, causing YOUR and others embarrassment. I remember when we took just one block at Leicester and it was embarrassing. It was a Saturday game, we definitely would have taken a lot more than 1100 we took that day. I don't want to head down that path again. And yes it is a lie, we have a month to go until the city game and we sold out in a week. I didn't even know we had the choice to get 500 more tickets, well that makes it even worse doesn't it. So it's not a lie, ok explain what it is then with a month to go and they said they would take more tickets if needed but they arn't? We could easily have sold 500 more tickets with a month to go. Let's hope the upper tier at Villa isn't empty like last time. Edit: the upper tier will be completely empty anyway. [Post edited 12 Sep 2022 15:43]

What a load of nonsense. You are completely missing the point. They could have just said we are taking the minimum allocation for Man City as that's what we normally take, no issues with that. That wouldn't have been a lie. Why say they would take more if needed if it isn't true and they never were going to? It didn't even get to members and it sold very quickly. If they were true to their word, they would have taken the next 1500. I doubt we would sell 3000, but it's the club who said they would take more if need be. They said it, so being as it's sold out in a week and didn't go to members, why haven't they done what they said they would do? I know why and we all know we won't take 3000, so why didn't they just say that in the first place. I will write it for you and the club "Due to our normal sales pattern of not normally taking more than 1500 fans to City, we have decided to take the smaller allocation. This is to prevent having to pay for unsold seats as we probably won't take 3000." Aston Villa - "Due to playing on a Friday night and the game being sky, we have taken the smaller allocation, as we fear we won't take the normal 3000 we normally take, as it's on tv". There you go Nick. An honest sales policy, that doesn't pretend we would take more. They had no intention of taking more and you know it. If you know we wouldn't take 3000 to City, why don't the club? [Post edited 12 Sep 2022 13:31]

Confirmed, Man City has sold out. It didn't go to members and they didn't take the extra allocation. So the new policy is a lie. [Post edited 12 Sep 2022 12:24]

I saw the police in Edinburgh today. There were what looked like thousands of them. London will come to a stand-still at the weekend. Not only that, terrorism is a massive threat, as every leader in the world and many other famous people will be in London from next weekend. The last thing they want to worry about is hundreds of thousands of football fans. I do think though, that the lower league games should go ahead. [Post edited 11 Sep 2022 22:18]
