| News Comment | Southampton At Wolverhampton Wanderers The FA Cup Verdict at 14:40:08
if we get a good result on Sunday, do we think that we have turned a corner ? With JV back from injury, MS having made his long awaited debut, TM eager to get some regular game time, and hopefully ID recovering from his injury, Ralph will have more options from which to choose and thus more competition for places. Also, with SL now on loan, it will give our young forwards more of an opportunity. |

Somebody out there will know the answer to this re the JWP Debate. Since the away Huddersfield match, how many appearances has he made in the Premier League and how many goals has he scored ? |

Re Whatsforpud comments, it will be of great benefit when RB gets fit again, so that we can have an attacking thread down our left hand side with MT which offers the option of players happy on their left foot going outside the opposition right back, getting to the byline and crossing back into the six yard box for DI / CA / NR to capitalise on, or for JWP / PH to follow in on at the edge of the penalty area. On the same lines, what has happened to Sam McQueen - I seem to remember that he was quite strong on his left foot ? And I gained the impression from watching the Derby replay on television that young Johnson was also a left footed player - or am I mistaken ? |
| News Comment | Who Is The Latest Youngster On The Saints Bench ? at 10:00:53
Interesting piece on the introduction of the Academy Players. Will RH look closely at the players out on loan e.g. Hesketh, Reed, Sims et al, or has their opportunity at Saints gone ? Are they not good enough, or have the previous four managers not been prepared to spend time on their development and gone for the short term expensive option of bringing in players from abroad, which in many cases has been a failure ? |
