| Forum Thread | Team/player/manager celebration photo at 08:31 25 Jun 2024
Hi, wondering if anyone can help! I want to get a photo of the team or manager or players celebrating, generally just a good photo for my son’s 7th birthday. He loves the Swans and has asked for this so I wanted to print and frame one for him. Searched online and found Getty images site but they only sell them commercially which is frustrating. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Thank you in advance! [Post edited 25 Jun 8:32]

lol I totally agree. In the past I’ve been chopped down on here for being justifiably pessimistic so I was trying to be a little more optimistic. In cut throat truth I think when we’ve been at the top or near to top of the table and I’ve heard so many times ’the table doesn’t lie’.. well in our case it bloody did and does! Our performances have been absolutely dreadful for a while. Barring Cardiff game we’ve shown so much ineptitude and lack of fight and desire it’s hard to see us not in a relegation fight. I think the penny dropped for most at the Brentford game if not before. Worst thing is we’re not even in a high quality, competitive championship this year.. a lot of the teams are bang average! |

Based on the fact we hadn’t lost an away game all season until now. I’ve been of the opinion that we wouldn’t finish in the top 6 all season as I’m no fan of our midfield so please don’t take my comments as defending them. I was just trying to be balanced in that we’re better than today, but not much. None of that midfield is good enough. Yet our most talented wasn’t even on the bench today yet my understanding is that he isn’t injured either!? Baffling! |

Spot on. The playing squad isn’t great by any stretch in comparison to what we’ve had the last 9-10 years but they’re better than the performances and results that have been put in recently. I’m confident that Leon and Tatey would do a better job for the club for the rest of the season to ensure our survival in the league |

What was I stating that was obvious? You have assumed whatever I said was obvious but not everyone thinks the same, clearly demonstrated on this site! I do realise that happens, it happens at our games and it happens at nearly if not all clubs across the leagues. What I was trying to point out was that not everyone does it. Behaviour breeds behaviour and all that - in certain parts of the ground one comment/groan creates a domino effect. In other parts, you don't hear anything. Usually a result of the makeup of the crowd in those particular sections. |

Top, top post! From reading that post I assume you've either played the game at a good level or you've been involved to some degree at a good standard of football? If not, a really really good insight into the big picture which has unfolded over the course of the season, in my opinion of course! This Naughton debate - people assume that because he is made to be the 'scapegoat' and criticised on here that we verbally do the same at games - Wrong! I thought the reason for forums such as these was to create debate, vent, criticise, praise, etc? I have thresholds with performance, and when either is hit (extremely good or extremely poor) I sometimes like to comment on here either to confirm my sanity or to appreciate the magnitude of the situation.. Martin Thomas goal West Ham, Lee Trundles performance at Boston to name but a few.. To summarise in Naughtons case, I'll vent on here and hope he proves me wrong on Sunday because ultimately I want MY team to do well and if he can help with that, great! If he can't, get someone in who can or at least won't be perceived as the obvious weak link in the team! |
| Forum Reply | Kyle Naughton - What a DONKEY at 15:28 5 Feb 2017
I reference my last post on him prior to this game. Should be nowhere near the first team and wouldn't look out of place in league 1/2. Would have cost us a 3rd had Aguero buried that header at the end! On another note - Siggurdson rubbish again LOL, should have sold him! |

100% agree! Painful to watch and feared at what point he would attribute to us conceding a 2nd goal, thankfully it didn't come! Should be nowhere near the starting 11 and wouldn't look out of place in the lower leagues. Unfortunately we only have a 34yr old with no pace to replace so we're going to have to make do till the end of the season now which is worrying. |

Spot on. Had a hand in half of our goals this season yet apparently his attitudes not good enough, crap footballer and we should get rid...give me strength! Now if you want to debate a player who is actually a liability and is standing out even more as one now the rest of the team have got some confidence back then step forward Kyle Naughton. |

lol - but he does take our free kicks/penalties and corners! I could argue that if someone else was taking those dead balls we wouldn't have goals and/or assists to talk about. Running a lot and looking like he cares doesn't prevent criticism - It just puts him behind others in the firing line who don't give the necessary work rate, desire and commitment to win which is deserving of the shirt and also who do not possess half the quality which he has! |

I watch the games from the half-way line and behind the dugout so I have a pretty good perspective of the whole pitch thanks. I'll make sure to pay particular attention to his touch next game to reassure myself on this point. Each to their own and all that but do you not think he is a good player at all or just having a bad season for us? Like someone else said he was ok today and that was it. To say he's a prima donna - his work rate is consistently second to none. If we had 9 other outfield doing the same our pressing game would be the best in the game! [Post edited 14 Jan 2017 22:00]

100% agreed! In terms of his reputation, he's probably better off not playing for us currently as when he does the type of game he plays is only suited to players on his wavelength (level) to make his movement and passes count. With this current team, they bring him down to his level and so his labelled poor like the rest of the team. For me, he still stands out as by far our best player, for others he's not taking on 4 players and sticking one in the top bin and so is useless! He's a great player but he's not Ronald,Messi etc. As for the comment on his first touch... he is our most technically gifted player at the club! If he has a bad first touch I don't know what to say about the rest of the team! |

I know for a fact the text was the first he knew of this! Take it or leave it I'm sure it'll come out at some point but that's what happened. There's no smoke without fire as they say and there's enough people that know that's exactly what happened! Is it really that surprising to believe considering the care our board has shown and demonstrated in recent months and years. I've followed the club for a long time and certainly do not have a short memory as to where we were 10+ years ago and who put their hand in the pocket to save us etc. But it's gone full circle now with who's 'lining their pockets' without the consideration of the repurcussions for the club and this recent action towards AC epitomises what we've become. |

He was notified by HJ that Clement didn't want him in training the next day and not part of his coaching staff going forward. We'll know by tomorrow/Saturday if Curt is to stay with the club in another role or not. How he was told is totally out of order and disrespectful in my opinion. Either Huw should have done it in person or Clement had the chat himself. There's no issue with Clements decision not to keep him on (although in my view wrong), it's the way it was communicated. As others have said here, how would you feel if one day you were covering a position above yours and then the next day you're informed via text that you don't even have your old job to go back too. Shocking! |

Bastion was not even originally in the squad. Routledge was due to start with fer on bench but he pulled out last minute pulling fer in and being forced to put Siggy out wide and baston on the bench. |

Good post agree with nearly all of that. Llorente - I actually thought he held the ball well yesterday and had we had a performing team would have capitalised on good CF hold up play. I'm sceptical about his injury and going off yesterday and wonder if he had seen enough and though to get out of the game asap to save being further part of the embarrassment! Taylor - Please leave. I know Swansea league full backs who could do a better job than what he is giving us as a 'professional' footballer. Someone else said it in a different post but to stay up we need 1/2 full backs, CB, CM and a striker. Without that bring in any manager and imo we'll be nailed on to go down by Feb. Silver lining - As someone else also said, we'll clear a lot of dead wood if we do get relegated, regain some identity of the club off the field and hopefully get some better atmosphere back in the stadium where people turn up to watch the game rather than their phone! |
