The "Eat out to help out" incentive has been an absolute success. A pub manager I know well told me today he'd broken his lunchtime record this afternoon and his only problem is the amount of customers he sadly has to turn away. This is also translating into more weekend bookings as people's confidence grows in getting back into the pub & restaurant. Anyone who criticizes this scheme is bonkers. |

Top drawer To the left to the right (with appropriate hand waving) jump up and down and to the knees Come and dance every night cos he fooking hates Pompey That would certainly eclipse the Lallana wave which has never been replaced |

Howe sounds like he wants out, their best players will be sold etc. Glad to see the back of the minnows they will have a massive task on their hands to ever come back. |

Boris will soon be celebrating his double century and raising his bat to the crowd. Every delivery has been dispatched with consumate ease. The bowling attack now looks exhausted and bereft of ideas. |

I remember the Leeds teams of the 70's and took a pasting up there in the 79 semi-final. What Leeds and their fans will bring is an edge which in the sanitized world of the premier league will be most welcome. Football is far too cuddly these days. |

I'm glad they're back. Vociferous fans (love or loathe them) with brilliant away support if we ever get back to normal. I can't wait to beat them again |

The Old Ship was a great little pub but haven't been in there for 30 years or so. They had a little restaurant downstairs from the bar and the food was lovely. Is it still going strong Dirk? The Bold Forester was another decent pub over that way as was the Lone Barn |

For the right reasons That 5-4 away win in 93/94 with Super Ken throwing the ball into the crowd The 4-3 home win in 04/05 and the Camara goal For the wrong reasons The 6th round FA Cup replay in 91/92 when MLT & Ruddock (I think) got sent off Didn't Norwich always get relegated with us too? |

I caught a new series on Sky Atlantic recently about a New York based business Mogul during the lockdown. Deeply affected by traumatic world events he found a place of sanctuary on the internet. Incognito he posed as a left wing malcontent ranting at the injustices that he saw from the opulant comfort of his Manhattan penthouse. He found solice in posting endless links to the British newspaper The Guardian whilst tackling the thorny issues of Governmental ineptitude on both sides of The Atlantic. Gad! It's very fkn worrying is on repeat, endlessly. |

I'm looking forward to it. There's been fook all on the telly recently and even though it won't be the same I do love the drama of the relegation battle, which hopefully we won't be involved in. The biggest plus should be there'll be something else to talk about apart from the excruciatingly boring political shite that has been ruining this place for the past few weeks. |

The bloke is clearly a bell end but did he "desecrate" the memorial of that poor copper? I very much doubt it. He must've sobered up pretty quickly when those pics went viral. I doubt he even knew what he was doing. Still two weeks in jail for being a fat Spurs fan seems fine to me |

My first wife looked a lot like Daisy Duke which was surprising given that her Mother was an absolute ringer for Boss Hogg |

Huge numbers of the British public are complete and utter mongs. Whatever the advice a shed load of daft coonts will disregard it. From panic buying toilet rolls initially to packing beaches as soon as the sun comes out these cretins only think of themselves. No amount of Governmental or scientific advice would deter these morons. I was stuck in traffic in Totton today thinking there must've been a bad accident. Turns out the queues were due to lots of fat fookers trying to get in the McDonald's drive through to stuff their faces with a load of horrific takeaway shite. Nothing against the rules doing that I know but it all points to the fact that a huge swathe of the populous are beyond listening to any sort of reason. |

Nice one Dirk I'll check some of those out. Walking is my absolute favourite thing to do. From Striding Edge in the Lake District to The Valley Of Rocks in Somerset I love it. There are some beautiful places to walk in Britain. |

He reminds me of the old gits in the Harry Enfield Show. They were Fred Git & Alf Git. They moaned about everything from the price of baked beans to the cost of funeral services. Fred & Alf Git would be proud of Sadoldgit for his sterling performance on this forum over the lockdown period. |
