I think the level of Oyston hatred has reached ridiculous levels on the other board. By now everyone knows what they are all about, it doesnt need to take over every single thread thats posted... its degenerated almost to a form of tourettes outburst. I'm pretty cured of it to be honest. |

Well, bitterly disappointed, particularly as we started off promisingly but degenerated into what looked like a rabble after 25 minutes or so . Miller in particular looked clumsy on the ball and lumbering in his movement. I very much support Riga's philosohy of trying to play open attractive football but we looked miles away last night being seriously outplayed for most of the game by a team likely to prove no no better than average in the Championship, overrun in midfield and run ragged down the flanks Pritchard for them was all over us. I had been planning a number of away games but am now questioning if I want to schlep all over the country to see us get our a*** slapped week in week out. It has the feeling of a man paying good money watch a member his family beaten up every week. |

Karl only obsesses about finances and in financial terms thats probably true but football is primarily a sporting endeavour and in terms of sporting prowess we cant beat an egg right now. |

I agree with ODB at 2 nil I thought Forest stepped off the gas Perkins tried his damnedist but was playing as a make shift left back, on the positve side this is a team who are going to play football not hoofball I believe we will only get better when up to full strength, Lundstrom was another positive I thought but the truth is that Forest were handed a freebie by ko theyll never meet a worse prepared team than they played on Saturday |

The qualty lof the players we have signed looks better than we've had for a season or twoand I believe Riga could be our ace up the sleeve, but last two seasons we have clung on by the skin of our teeth and this year the Championship looks stronger, so harder to compete you would think. Pushing for promotion looks unlikely at the moment. |

Agree I'm trying to look at the 1st two games as a bit of a gimme... yes we have had a non existent pre-season but look at this way, if we were to lose away against Forest in the opening game of the season I doubt it would have rocked the football world to its roots even if we had the perfect pre-season they would have always been a tough nut at home and game 2 against Shrewsbury, more important for the game time than the result in my eyes. So game 3 is the one that in my eyes is the real start of the season. Though if we can nick something at the city ground despite the circumstances then thats a bonus. |
