Not sure I follow, what lad? I'm talking about the possible departure of Baston rather than Ayew or any incomings.

I agree, so disappointing after the progress of the last few weeks. Undoubtedly weakens the squad at a time when we simply cannot afford any more mistakes.

Seems like it's a loan deal. This looks like madness to me. This would leave us with one recognised senior striker and woefully short in the event of an injury to Llorente. Having only two senior strikers in the squad was worrying, one is unthinkable. Ayew's goal scoring record would strongly suggest he's no striker.

With the probability of no CB coming in we are yet again taking huge risks and playing Russian roulette with our survival prospects.

How Are We Not Trying to Buy Him?!
at 14:29 20 Jan 2017

I think most of us are unanimous in calling the shambles of a transfer committee that we have but this one is an unrealistic target. Milan, say no more. Boro, admittedly a relegation rival, but have been bankrolled by Gibson for 20 odd years. We can't compete with either of these clubs. We wouldn't be able to get anywhere near the wages he would want and that aside, why on earth would he join a club hurtling towards the championship? Better to sit on the bench at Everton, pick up his money and look to get a better move in the summer.

On another note, had to have a little chuckle at Clement's 'we have a good recruitment team here' quote in his press conference yesterday. He must have forgotten that he moved clubs a couple of weeks ago.

The Official Swansea City Versus Arsenal FC Premier League Match Thread

Too early to judge Clement for sure but 2 games played, no goals scored and six conceded couldn't possibly have been a worse start. Just hope we haven't missed a trick with this Hull fella, early days but an instant impact and 2 wins from 2 with a thin, weak squad is hugely impressive.
