| Forum Reply | The Summer Transfer Rumours Thread at 20:03 13 Jul 2024
Ipswich look set to sign Muric (GK) from Burnley for £10M - deal done according to SSN. That may turn out to be the best bit of transfer business for us all year! Or… am I clutching at straws..? |
| Forum Thread | Coleman today at 15:18 16 Mar 2024
A rare seat in the West Stand for me today. I have to say when the Swans scored both goals Coleman went absolutely ballistic. OK - one swallow does not make a summer but you could see he cares passionately. That’s a raw material that can be worked with (if only all the money men the other side of the pond did….). Let’s enjoy it - zero negativity from me today. Best performance of the season, in the most important game!! |
| Forum Thread | Ampadu at 12:10 20 Apr 2019
Just playing golf and was talking with Ampadu (as you do)......... he is a jack thro and thro. Did suggest he joined us on loan next season ....... apparently we cannot afford the insurance let alone his wages! Great Jonny Conforth stories (now even more of a Legend in my eyes)....... you can see now where he gets his football pedigree - not his old man! |
| Forum Reply | Can we drop Naughton now please? at 05:21 30 Jan 2019
So he has one bad game (and he was awful last night, we can all see that) in the last ten and he’s completely sh1te - I see how it works. On that basis the sooner we sell Mulder the better Talk about agendas |
| Forum Reply | If Dan James gets sold ... at 12:50 29 Jan 2019
I respect everyone’s opinion on here...but seriously....Dan James has 3 cracking games before scouts wised up to him and full backs now mark touch tight...not done a lot since the imho. I was worried he would go for about 2-3m, if so I would be up in arms. £6-£10m - we would be fools to say no to that, he can’t shoot ffs. I realise this is not a popular opinion but there you go. |
| Forum Reply | Will there be another fire sale this deadline day? at 06:31 29 Jan 2019
Great post - spot on. For every good couple of games Fer has, he has a nightmare (how many times did he lose the ball on Sat for example). Wilf simply has to go - even the most one-eyed Jack can see that. So - the real question is Dan James. Why are we considering selling a player who has a wonderful final ball and has scored 15 goals this year......oh, hang on.... I was all for keeping him until 3 separate people told me on the weekend his head has been turned and he wants out. Of course, could be nonsense but I don’t think we can turn our noses up at up to £10m for someone that could fulfill his potential. Why we have to sell is of course a whole different ball-game.....do I want the Yanks out? Of course I do, but Big Nose is the immediate real issue. If they get rid of him (and they face real legal risks in doing that) then the healing process can begin for the majority of the fanbase. I fon’t buy this ‘Asset Stripping’ malarkey, it’s trying to balance the books imho. We bought awfully, payed huge wages we could not afford and will be paying for it for another season or two. All roads lead to Huw - be gone you clown |
| Forum Reply | Have a word with yourselves ffs at 15:45 9 Aug 2018
Spot the theme... - Fede wants to go for Premiership football - Amat wants to go back to Spain - fact - Ayew wants out to anyone - good riddance - Clucas wants out, for the dollar Am I worried about Saturday (yes, deeply at CH), am I worried about rebuilding a side that Potter wants rather than one who meekly surrended what the fans held dear....am I feck... ....BUT...he wants Woods....if we do not get him I will be p1ssed and really worried about immediate future I don’t get the huge doom and gloom - they don’t want to be here so audios amigos, we don’t want you here either |

I am torn between the 'we agreed a deal, screw you if you think you can change the goalposts' position, and the 'ok, in the interests of the wider football club we will accept a couple of million less'' The board need to weigh up whether he will be the same player for us until at least Christmas before making a decision. Either way a definitive decision is now required so that we can move forward as a team..... If the report is true I can now understand the never ending position in the last week |
| Forum Reply | Baston injured. at 15:58 18 Aug 2016
...the saving grace of having two top quality strikers now....gives Llorente the chance to put down a real marker I think the big man would have started anyway with Borja coming on in the second half Looks like it's no big deal if he could ply Tues night. Agreed - not a wonderful start but better not to risk him - we do not want or can afford an Ayew situation if he's not right... |
| Forum Reply | Thanks Ash at 08:30 31 Jul 2016
There are a number of ways of looking at this 1: Disaster - Our 'rock'...Mr Swansea on the field etc.....dreadfully weakening the spine of the team...a true Leader leaving the fold 2: Good Business - For every good game Ash has had in the last 2 seasons he has had a bad game (arguably)....witness CF after CF getting free headers from corners. Given his age why wouldn't we snap up £10M 3: Good Riddance - We have all heard the stories over the past few months that 'if we do not sign Joey, I'm off...'. Well, Billy Big B0ll0cks you are not bigger than the club, and people are getting fed up with the annual 'Ash is off' nonsense only for a bigger wage to come your way.... 4: Asset Stripping - If nothing else was going on re: Ayew / everyone else then would we be as concerned?? Given everything else that is happening though will this make other senior players throw the toys out.....with things spiralling downwards at a rate of knots 5: If we had a marquee signing for CF now the wage bill is clear....would we fret??? I am lurching between (1) and (2)....I don't feel I am anywhere in between at the moment The next 2 weeks will define our football club for the next 10 years - sensaltionism, Yes....but that's my opinion |
| Forum Reply | Wolves vs Swans Thread at 16:02 30 Jul 2016
To be fair, on the Wolves Twitter feed its almost as if we have Neuer in goal.....credit where it's due looks to be having a cracking game... ...albeit it begs the question why is he so over-worked against a Championship side |
| Forum Thread | IF we buy quality... at 16:26 29 Jul 2016
Is anyone upset we have got shot of (albeit some on loan) - Eder - Gomis - Bartley - Paloschi - Grimes - Gorrie I am fine with all of the above IF we keep Gilf and Ayew (for start of season) AND buy 2 quality forwards....I am trying to be positive and living in hope....still |
| Forum Reply | Gomis at 11:57 9 Jul 2016
Maybe nobody wants to buy! You can hardly blame them.... It maybe the best / only offer we get..... |
| Forum Reply | FG £1m a year at 10:51 20 Jun 2016
Maybe because nobody actually wants him....just a thought We can't force someone to buy him can we |
| Forum Reply | Siggy at 15:40 10 Jun 2016
Agreed - I can't recall when Huw 'went public' for it then not to happen (I'm sure others will put me straight) ...and off topic, I went to school with and am still very good mates with Joey's brother in law. Joey's wife wants to come home to the Swansea Valley, she is very homesick....hopefully could be the clincher |

Indeed, you of all people would have Lisa - my fave poster Are there any irrefutable facts of the intricacies of the deal that have been made public at this point? Keen to read them if so. Plenty of 'facts' about but not many that 100% agree with as being beyond any reasonable doubt |
