Just a cautionary note but I noticed that JCS didn't look too happy when he was substituted. I hope that this was simply frustration at being subbed rather than anything more sinister. He's been excellent in recent weeks, building a solid partnership with Cook. Moreover, this has allowed Marti to experiment with Dunne at right back, which has been a welcome success. Here's hoping that I'm reading something into nothing and JCS hasn't picked up an injury as we'll need him for the run-in.
I'm not sure what to make this. On the one hand he states that criticism of his performance as DoF was driven by colour, yet on the other he appears to concede that he was a bad DoF.
He's had a miserable season but today he was excellent. Two goal line clearances and put his body in the way of everything. That first half performance set the platform for the second half win. Well done that man.
Showed another string to his bow by playing the fulcrum role well when Hugill was substituted. Showed great strength holding the ball up, terrorised Derby's defence with his pace and dovetailed beautifully with Eze and Chair. Such a shame no one read the cross along the 6-yard box for a simple tap-in.
Planners have gone back to the drawing board. Car Giant land is no longer the target, focus is being shifted to developing Park Royal and regenerating Willesden Junction.
