I agree with everything, apart from Wood. To me he looks like a very good championship defender who would definitely work with the right players in a back 3, especially with a bit more pace but I think that is what we are lacking.

The decision to start Darling has definitely been vindicated!

Great ball over the top for goal one to manning and very alert in the penalty area to score, 2-0 up, greatly deserved imo, we have played some beautiful football.

Naughton or Darling for Sunderland?

Considering that Naughton has recently been a liability, and that there will be 3 games in 8 days, I think we should probably rest him for a few days and give Darling a run in the team for a few games, otherwise what was the point of signing him if the manager doesn't trust him at all.
