Fantastic sportsman, fantastic match.

Seems he's fanatical about charity too, he gave his winnings from the Queens tournament to the Royal Marsden Hospital and if Twitter is to be believed he's just donated his £1.6m prize fund from today as well.

Deserves every bit of success that comes his way

If every Dale player fights as hard for the team next season as Murray did to win under incredible pressure, we'll be sitting* pretty come May 2014

Still don't like the miserable git, but fair play to him. Well done Murray.

Heard that also, always gives a very good percentage to charity.

I will always maintain that a Scotsman who doesnt dislike English Football is a liar.

What luck has he had? He's played everyone off the park he's come up against. You can only play the player in front of you.

Murray beat Djokovic 3 sets to 0 in the Olympics, it's no fluke

It was 2-0 in the olympics tbf, as it was only a three set tournament, except the final I think.

As for the easy draw bulls**t, people are always going to pick holes in the success of somebody they dont like, I'm personally a fan of murray and wanted to see him succeed, Nadal and Federer wern't good enough to progress, but Murray was and he's then beat the world number 1 in the final.

Class act and could dominate for a while now.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

He's donated the whole of it from Queens but he hasn't donated all of his Wimbledon winnings according to genuine journo's on Twitter. Probably a percentage.

Tangled up in blue.

And that's more than fair enough!

A player at the very top level has to employ people to look after the baggage that goes with success, so he'd be stupid not to look after them. Ivan Lendl for one, has earned a fair chunk of Murray's winnings. And that's after tax.
