Is anybody else(apart from the Southampton trolls who can p-ss right off),beginning to have serious misgivings about his managerial ability given his totally sh-t team selections week after week?

Not sure AT has the stomach for another season in the championship. He's always had a big build but looks overweight now. Shame to see him go but as has been said not sure who would take him on. Can't see where he would go in the English game so maybe France.

Re the "who will take him" comment, I'm concerned that the same argument applies to 10+ players we are looking to get rid of. How many buyers are there going to be for the unwanted.?

So Melaka, does this statement come from some ITK insider knowledge derived from your travels with Tony ?
Because if it does it is really worrying as it implies that;
a)We're getting rid of,or at least resigned to losing, the one player who has a proven history of being a regular matchwinner in the Championship.
b)The team next year IS going to feature the gutless mercenary dross of Boswanka, M'bia,Toillet etc, etc, that the fans were subjected to yesterday.

or it could mean we're doing something about getting rid of the bad influences who are creating the crap vibe amongst the squad and getting back to building some team spirit for the challanges ahead.

maybe we should all just have the summer off and stop trying to second guess anything and micro analysing every single word Harry says (which lets face it isn't exactly the most reliable guage of what he is actually doing/thinking..)

You might think that but I couldn't possibly comment

I am not implying that Boswanker, M'bia and Hoillet will be staying, I don't know. I never heard these particular names mentioned. But I can assure you I wasn't backwards in coming forward when talking to TF, especially about how dire Boswanker is and that he epitomises everything that is wrong at the club.

Personally I really hope that the first two are gone PDQ but Hoillet I'm a bit 50/50 on. I think he might be quite good one division down.

But I was told of a name or two being disruptive in the training room and for not being prepared to give their all. And that there will be no place for such players at QPR..................

Tony's comments in the past week or two have reinforced what I 'gleaned' a few weeks back. That there will be many players leaving this summer. But since my trip he has qualified his statements by saying that he is not going to subsidise anyone's move. Good for him but that might reduce the number that fly the nest!

Personally if we had stayed up I would have liked Taarabt to have been sold. In my mind he is simply not good enough for the Premiership (like most everyone in our team). But now we are in the Championship, well, that's the skill level at which he can do well in.

I'm with you on this.

This team of ours has really not been right in the head all season. We have all read about Hughes methods and Gallen's interview on the Open All Rs podcast was an eye opener. No wonder the training room was split in various factions.

Mark Hughes took the heart and soul out of the club. It will take anyone (Harry or whoever) 18 months, maybe more, to repair that damage.

The management know who's causing trouble, who's not trying, who's turning up late for training, who's not prepared to fight and also who's simply not very good! Lets leave them to deal with the matter as they see fit. After all that's what they are paid to do.

I am sure many will be got rid of, one way or another.

If there are no buyers for the utter dross (say Boswanker for example) then I hope they are not paid off. That way we are rewarding their disgraceful behaviour.

Keep paying them (like we are now for Mark Hughes) but don't allow them to train with the team. Let them get fat and unfit. They will then be no good to anyone else. Make them earn their money by being the boot boy or something similar. Show them the contempt they have shown the club.

If they don't like to earn their money that way, then let them request a termination of contract with a zero pay off!

Make them train on their own at unsociable hours (for footballers). See how many want to stay then.

Nice in principle but, for some of this lot, £50k or whatever will offset any embarrassment of being told to train with kids.

Would you not happily see out a few years of a contract training for an hour every 5pm at £50k/week?

Seems a better deal than training every 10am.

Yes. but if there are any performance related payments then they would miss out. Not sure the club knows what this is though.

I see you lot are starting to realise what a sham Redknapp is

you lot have a miles...MILES better squad than say, Hull, who have just secured promotion to the prem

you wont see adkins talking his chances down next season with an inferior squad, yet I bet they do better than you

what is worse is how you lot (like we did) but into redknapps bollix.

all we are missing is the 'down to the bare bones' line

When Redknapp took over there were 25 games left, so 75 points to play for with only 4 on the board.

Given that Sunderland are in danger of going down with 39 points, for us to have stayed up Redknapp would have needed something like 13 wins from those 25 games.

Surely we can see that was a pretty impossible task? No denying Redknapp should have made a better fist of it, but the Newcastle game on Saturday shows the kind of stupidity that is endemic is our squad.

Redknapp on 10:35 - May 13 with 1042 viewsWeaverQPR

It was an impossible task, any team who goes 17-18 games without winning will be up against it, its the fact he seems to have given up on next season the irks me.

Although to be fair we all know it is a coded message to likeable Tony to ramp up the budget for summer.

I've always liked Redknapp but his constant moaning about the squad and never my fault malarkey is starting to get on my nerves. The teams he has picked since relegation was confirmed have been shocking, to start Mbia and Buswanker yesterday was incredible and slap in the face to us plus a waste of two subs.

I'm not a fan of 4-4-2 and try and hit it long to Zamora, I'd have liked to see us play a 4-2-3-1 with Adel off Remy and Townsend/Hoilett coming in from the wings with some solid holding midfielders offering protection behind. I don't blame him for the relegation and I'll give him the benefit of the doubt but I've not been impressed.

With the best will in the world, it isnt all going to get fixed over the summer. We have probably only had one "good" summer since before our original PL relegation -that that was Warnock's pre-promotion re-build. The rest have been wasted, chasing around after agents, buying the wrong players, not filling the gaping holes in the squad. How many times have you thought at the start of the season - yep, this is it.

However (slightly more positive point) - there is a good chance many of our players as individuals, separated from the poisoned collective we have become - will be picked up by other clubs. Granero and Hoilett are good examples of those who will get a move away. Clearly both have talent, and will be welcomed into a happy stable elsewhere.

Anyway, TF and Co have shown a willingness to devote time and energy to opening the chequebook - will be interesting to see if the signing machine can shift as well as lift.

Feel exactly the same, and if you speak to fans of his old clubs so do they. It was the last home game and the line up was, in my view, a bit of insulting to all of us who have watched this garbage all season. There were alternative options to Boswinga and MBia but Harry ignores it. Then he insults all the players who will still be with us next year by a) not playing them and b)telling them how crap they all are. My optimism for next season is evaporating quickly.
I hope TF tells Harry to shut the f u c k up, stop complaining and start managing.

Bosingwa doesn't want to be here, but likes collecting the large pay. So he plays and generally behaves like he can't be arsed, and either he will continue to collect his money, or the club will pay him off, or more likely subsidise a move away. Everyone sees through that, right?

One thing Redknapp has succeeded in is lowering expectations for next season!

Just avoiding a second consecutive relegation is probably all most of us expect currently...

Harry clearly thinks we have no talent in our youngsters, otherwise he would have given them a chance to play in this game that was meaningless to us and we lost anyway. Instead he trotted out the same crowd of useless imposters. I went to this game and left straight after it had finished. There was nothing to support there except Clint Hill, Shaun Derry and Andros Townsend.

I could not believe how lacking in basic football skill Toilet Hoilet was and I expected Bosingwa to be crap, but not that crap. I've been to our last home game for many years and persuaded myself I should not lapse this year - big mistake.

I would rather have seen some of our youngsters on the pitch and if they made the odd mistake would have made allowances, but to see another dire performance from this lot of overpaid incompetents was a waste of my time.

I don't have much confidence in Harry either, because while bemoaning the quality in his squad, he hasn't had the gumption to put in some youngsters to see if they could do any better. Perhaps the result would have been worse, but what did we have to lose? - we are deservedly rock bottom and will probably be rock bottom at the end. If none of our youngsters are really any good at all to be given a chance in this game then perhaps those over 19 or so should be cleared out and we should start afresh or we need someone to properly assess them and their potential if they have any.

Who's Next?

I don't think many of us R's actually like Redknapp, but he is the manager, until he's not.
I can't see us getting rid of him, because we are still paying off Hughes and to pay off Redknapp as well, don't make financial sense.
Redknapp, also has had some success as a football manager, perhaps he can do it for us ?

Redknapp on 15:37 - May 13 with 889 viewsQPR_Jim

I'm not entirely convinced about Redknapp to be honest but in my opinion he's worth sticking with. I think the transfer window is his domain and we might just benefit from having him over the summer. I know the last thing we need is more mercenaries and higher turnover of players (more blood, more blood etc) but he also seems to be good at getting shot of players. Anton to Turkey and Cisse to Qatar show that he can move players on, which I think is what we really need.

So if we can shift the high wages and/or under performing players and replace them with few players on lower wages (with a bit more professional pride than the current bunch) I think we will avoid falling too far.
