Not strictly true. Neville loaned them the money to pay the pfa loan. I believe he was paid back (probably with more credit), which means they simply dodged the deadline in order to get the embargo lifted and sign some more (evidently still shite) players... hence why they are quickly back in the shite!
Seems that Belgian geezer was right and the buckets will soon be back out!

at the last Trust meeting with the directors, we were told that relegation to Lge 2 had cost the club close to £600,000 due to the lack of away fan revenue and the difference in the TV money given to clubs. If they are struggling now, God help them next season. They'll dismiss it as simply a rivalry thing, but back to back relegations is a real possibility for them. I feared for us with it last season, and no matter what issues gets aired on here, we always seemed to be in a better state of affairs then they did. Our relegation was softened financially by funds from a number of former players hitting clauses in contracts, plus the sales of Adams and Thompson. What have Bury got to prevent them starting next season with one hand tied behind their back? Their club seems in as much disarray as it was in the Casper / Alexander days. Their club lacks leadership to an extent where it seems the board are scared of the manager who seems to have carte blanche to do and say what he wants.

I would be very worried as a bury fan, there doesn't seem to be any leadership on the pitch, and not being able to pay your players, is often the first step to disaster off it.
Surely Banned4Ever was poking fun at the Milesy's of this world who think that everything that Bury FC do is right rather than genuinely claiming that to be the case?
(tho he did say earlier in the season that David Healey's wages were proof that finances at Bury FC were fine and dandy)

yea my thread was a bit tongue in cheek . Has for relegation Think a lot depends on tonight's result if we can win this one . And colchester ,Oldham and scunthorpe to play at home its still open . Has the old saying goes there nothing stranger then football.
Has for the finical situation we pull though it been in a worse position before.

Is that 'Has' as in 'Has-beens' or perhaps 'Has no money' ?
Look forward to life in League Two with a 10 point deduction to kick off with. Oh how I wish.

they've been worthy of their lead tonight. County got more ability but Bury want it more. First half was if County were only allowed to shoot from outside the box.
