Cisse celebration 17:29 - Apr 29 with 6642 views | EpsomRanger | Never seen such an ecstatic celebration for scoring a consolation goal - recon it was a "i told you I should play up front!" . . any other ideas?

Cisse celebration on 11:18 - Apr 30 by timcocking | I read that it was Diouf and Cisse involved i seem to recollect. A couple of the "English" players took issue with them both over their attitudes. But not sure, no. Hopefully not, i like him a lot so far (red card idiocy excluded). 6-1 much better than 6-0 imo. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Happy to be proven wrong with a link to an article or message board thread but I really think you're confusing the cisse incident with the diouf incident. Cisse was very popular at Sunderland and got a great reception when we went up there.
Cisse celebration on 13:01 - Apr 30 with 1195 views | xistens_pet | This seems to be a whole fuss about nothing. Cisse is a great player and like some have said it was probably a reaction to having had to play on the left. I recall him saying that the reason he didn't score enough goals at Lazio was because he isn't effective on the left and that's where they played him the whole time. Also, hasn't he reacted in pretty much the same fashion everytime he's scored for us? I decree this to be the most reactionary, pointless criticism of a player I've witnessed on here yet. I'm sure there have been some crackers though... Unless you're a body language expert or a mate of Djib's, I suggest we enjoy the one consolation of that match and keep the focus.

Credit to Cisse for celebrating. I love his passion like when he was subbed against Liverpool and he was G'ing the team up as he walked off. Top player (bit mental)

Cisse celebration on 13:27 - Apr 30 with 1166 views | WrightUp5hit___ | I have to admit I went for a walk with 15 minutes to go. I really couldn't take watching anymore, so I missed Cisses goal. Late last night I had calmed enough to look at the message boards and in amongst the postings there was one theme of criticising Cisse for his celebration. Didn't think much about it, but had this mental image of him doing cartwheels. Well this morning I saw the goals and I thought they must have cut part of the celebration, but no, after checking out the recording of MOTD2 they hadn't. Jeez the guy is pumped and is pretty much giving a rage of frustration type scream. Give him a break.
Cisse celebration on 13:34 - Apr 30 with 1152 views | smegma | I thought the best celebration was 5 minutes before we scored when some of ours started singing 'lets pretend we've scored a goal' . They then went mental, jumping all over the place to bemused looks from the east stand tourists.

Cisse celebration on 17:31 - Apr 29 by RobbyQPR | yes i do...playing for himself nobody else....if he sort of cared for QPR there wouldnt of been a celebration like that. just my opinion |
Maybe he knows about the 6-0 back in the day and was happy that Chelsea didn't get to match it. Or he's just a mental.
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

Cisse celebration on 14:38 - Apr 30 with 1108 views | Antti_Heinola | Like someone above, I read about Cisse's celebration, and expected a Shearer-style arm aloft, all smiles kind of affair. What I saw was a scream of rage and frustration. It's nothing like top level, of course, but I once played a 5-a-side game and scored when we were 8-0 down. I had been getting angrier and angrier at our incompetence and when I scored I yelled as loud as I could 'GET IN THERE YOU F****** C***!!!!'. I have no idea why I did this. It was so loud the adjacent game even stopped playing for a moment. The ref could, and probably should, have booked me, but he saw my face and thought better of it, I think. This did not mean I was not a team player or was only concerned about my stats - it was just an outpouring of pure frustration. In short, Cisse's reaction, I think, was pretty normal on a very sh1te day. Amazing when we've lost 6-1 to the team we hate most there can be so much criticism for someone who scored a goal. you never know - that goal might even keep us up ;) [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

It was from the mail, so probably nothing but sh!te. "After a recent heavy defeat, Sbragia claimed some players were not giving their all. Midfielder Andy Reid pointed the finger at Diouf and Djibril Cisse. Both confronted Reid in a bust-up that is believed to have come to blows." Reid was a twà t and a half anyway, and we all know about Diouf. Honestly I can't see what the fuss is - he didn't waste time, he roared to himself and punched the air and ran back to get on with the game. If he'd gone for a lap of honour a took off his shirt and got booked THEN have a dig, but for what he did..?! Beggers belief! [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Very fortunate for me I was next to a cage fighter who is known in those parts due to family (he isn't scum either)- still kept myself very much to myself. I hated sitting in there, I'll never do that again, far too likely to say/do something stupid!

Including me at that stage, all I could do not to blub like a girl and start throwing the handbag about! Our fans were great though, very vocal. I had wondered why the cheering towards the end, now I know they were celebrating in advance! Shįt ground, shÃt fans.

Re: the "celebration". Pretty much what most people thought. Not celebrating, just letting off a lot of steam out of anger and frustration. Makes sense.

To be honest I think its a very sad state of affairs that the man had to explain himself.
