Bearing in mind they'll be playing each other too it's a tall order. Derby haven't picked up a single point since Boxing Day.
We had one point more at this stage of last season in third from last place. But we had to win eight out of our following matches including against Leeds (h) as well as away at Leicester, Swansea, Bristol City and Coventry and that tricky home win against relegation rivals Birmingham. Why would we be talking about the bottom 2 clubs?? when we have just beaten a decent Blackburn side who sit 5th in the Championship!!!!! and only 3/4 points away from the top 6.

March is a tough month. Sheff U, WBA, Middlesborough and Leeds in that order. Finishing with Stoke. I think it will be hard for us to keep up with the pace of staying in or around the playoffs. We are obviously not in trouble though. Think late 40's will go down this year. |  |

Yep - you have to get up to Portsmouth in 20th to find a team averaging that even, the bottom 4 are all at less than a point per game. By the end of the season it could look a lot like 2020-21, where Derby stayed up on 44pts and Sheff Weds went down in 24th on 41. | | | |

Sheff W points deduction - they would have stayed up on 47 and Derby relegated instead.
No deductions affecting teams at the bottom this season (yet). | |

I reckon 47 points will be safe this year.
So effectively 2 wins 0 draws and 14 defeats will get us safe, which when you consider two and half months ago, we were rock bottom and long odds on favourites for the drop...
