I think it’s rather telling that since grimes has been in our team we have had at least 3 managers who have gone on to manage in the premier league but none of them have even attempted to sign him even though he apparently only costs 3 million.

There are many players who are very good championship players and are not premier league quality.
I would suggest Grimes is one of those players. Over the seasons he has been described by opposing managers as being one of the best midfield players in the championship.

There are many players who are very good championship players and are not premier league quality. I would suggest Grimes is one of those players. Over the seasons he has been described by opposing managers as being one of the best midfield players in the championship.

That would seem pretty obvious to me. He’s not quick enough for the PL and is very left footed.

One of the best technical midfielders in the championship. If he’s got pace and movement around him at Coventry, he’ll do well. If he doesn’t have teammates that suit his strengths and compensate for his weaknesses, he won’t.
