A side without Grandad Rooney in charge.

To me this game screams banana skin, but I think we will play well and I believe with 2000 Rs in attendance could actually be a memorable performance.

A three nil win away from home.

Frey, Field and Chair on target for the rampant superhoops !!!

Can Kolli succeed where Frey hasn't?

Yes.

Next question?

Can we go out yet?

On November 23rd we were bottom P15 W1 D7 L7 Pts10 GD -13

Less than 2 months later we are mid-table P27 W8 D11 L8 Pts35 GD -4

Which means our record over that 2 months is P12 W7 D4 L1 Pts25 GD +9

What a fantastic turnaround from Marti and the squad – well done.

It is remarkable. We're averaging around 2 points a game during that 12-game sequence. Replicate our form in that run over the final 19, and we finish with 73 points, which could well see us squeeze into a playoff berth. (I don't think it'll quite happen, but it's certainly something to aspire to.)

Poll: Keep our 12 game pts return going, and it's a 73 pt finish! Playoffs?

It’s a really good run, considering the injuries and the fact in some games we haven’t played well but found a way to still get a result somehow.

For me, the turnaround has been enabled by an increase in possession as we switched formation and that’s creating goal opportunities that we didn’t have before. Convert a few more of those each week and who knows what could happen and we may even have a nice selection ‘headache’ shortly if Cook and Morrison come back.

When you look up the table, I see teams we have beaten and can hold our own against. Do that and don’t lose the games against the lower placed teams (as we used to) and who knows what will happen. Certainly feels that this is the month to set that in motion.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Has there ever been so many Morgans on a football field? Kieran, Fox and Whittaker!

That's Morgan enough.

Particularly remarkable as in that one defeat we were absolutely shite, and we’ve sprinkled some absolutely woeful halves of football in there as well

It does feel like we’re getting more consistent now though, we haven’t had a calamity half since Swansea.

Edwards and JCS played together v Leicester. Edwards is 6' 1".

Do you think they could work together or do you need that dominating centre back. I know JCS wins a lot in the air but probably plays better with a Cook or Dunne type player on xt to him

The problem was JCS had way too much on his plate at Leicester with 3 rookies alongside him and no Nardi either . He had to do his own job and organize the other defenders and it was a dumpster fire .I was surprised he was not on today with the regulars but probably Tuesday he will start.
If we keep defending like today and attacking like today the fun could only be begining for us this Spring

I'm also looking forward to see Dembele coming back into a team with a bit of confidence. He started well but declined as the team got worse.

Wanted to give a nod to Ken Paal today.

His work rate and link up play was great, and his delivery from corners this afternoon was his best this season. His partnership down the left alongside Chair and Kolli in the second half was rock solid.

I do think they could work together. Edwards and Fox did well today, albeit against a poor Plymouth side, so Edwards with JCS would be an upgrade on that pairing.

Should we ever have all CBs available, I dare say Cook and JCS would be first choice.

Agreed, Cook and JCS has to be first choice. Edwards the backup with Fox behind him also with the possibility of bringing St. Jimmy into the centre.
Not a slight on Fox either. He's been really solid and reliable for us the past couple of matches, fair play to him

Edit - forgot about Morrison! He would be ahead of Edwards in that ranking

Criticism was in for chair but people don’t realise that he’s always going to create opportunities and he did just that today

Also- it’s not a coincidence how much better we have got since he has come back to the team
