Will it be a Patreon thing? If it is, can you give us any tidbits whilst we wait? Was it productive?

That would just suck.

But that’s the power of hindsight ! I guess that’s how we got to Saturday’s selection/FA Cup ‘drains up’ and how we ended up with the (Graham) Poll.

Nice one. Reckon one Alistair Campbell would be impressed by some of CN's spin there!

Thanks for this Norf.

All seems fair enough, doesn't it?
Nothing controversial?
I dunno, what we saying?

Agree mate, reads fine on paper.

What about the dodgy body language, has he got shifty eyes etc...

Yes bringing on footage of Raheem Sterling to showcase how positive our Academy can be, is a bit of a stretch, most definitely !!

Interesting to hear about more training ground spending and the ideas behind a category A academy.

Thanks for the details Clive.

Thanks for typing all that up, Clive. Fair play.

On the one hand, he seems to be learning, on the other he's still spinning to save his life. The best new one is “we didn’t have any injuries” to report on.

He doesn't help himself.

Unfortunately, for me, he has worked himself into a position where I need to see the action because his words currently don't carry any weight. But thanks Clive for going along and putting the notes up for us, always appreciated.

Has been asked previously and the answer is basically the club has perhaps not helped itself in the past talking about grand plans for this and that before first engaging with stakeholders like land owners and the council, so we're not doing that any more. It's one of the things I actually agree with him on.

However I shall raise it for you at the next meeting mate and see if a different response comes.

I thought the same thing about the 'no injuries' comment. It's simply not true.

I'm not convinced with CN's comments on Ben Williams' remote director of performance role, nor his comments on keeping the length of player contracts secret.

That said, it's not all bad. He's pushing on a number of interesting things like training ground developments and recruitment of young players.

Thanks to Clive for publishing the notes.

Yeah, seems alright apart from the occasional "We didn't have any injuries to report" type statements.

And having just taken a look at Chansiri's car crash at last night's Sheffield Wednesday fans forum you realise things could be worse.

Thanks Clive, appreciate that.

Would love to know if staying at LR and developing it (by whatever means possible) is a serious contender now. I suspect that moving is now too expensive and not feasible.

Question I would like answered would be what lessons they learned from last summer's recruitment. Sensible to be more data driven than before, but has it now gone too far towards data? How, moving forwards, when assessing a player from certain mainland European or South American leagues, will they look at those statistics given the often greater physicality and fixture demands of the Championship? Have they factored that in enough to date, does he think?

as always a great read clive , intresting choice of parents to try and sell the club to players , esp as morgan has just joined the club , sterling left years ago but the fans fav whos been here since he was 8 years old wasnt used , that says a lot .

I think that Sterling being on the sizzle reel is fine.
He moved directly from our academy to one of the big PL clubs for a lot of money.

Any other Championship club would be making a big deal about it as well.

Didn't Birmingham retire Bellinghams shirt #?

I thought it was quite a well rounded choice. An obvious well known successful player that parents would know. A current player, that's doing well, and parents of a player that never made the grade ,which portrays a level of honesty and the reality of football. Obviously there's going to be parents who have not been happy with the club for various reasons over the years, I'd imagine. And some might simply not want to be in a promotional video.

Surely the denial about the contract announcements being saved up for the Fans Forum is just an outright lie? Are we to believe that they all signed the contracts that day/week and it was pure coincidence that we had a Fans Forum? There's got to be a middle ground between Nourry and Chansiri somewhere.

Think he comes off well here and indeed in the NYD statement too. Obviously don't agree with him on some things but I do feel like the club is moving in overall the right direction.

Very strongly suspect that if he hadn't burned so much credit so early with the very tight comms (or lack thereof) strategy all of this would hit very differently - now he, and the club, are trying to make up lost ground and addressing people (us) who are wary of them, whereas they could easily have been a little bit more open in the early running and built up that trust. Hopefully a lesson learned.

Agreed, wasn't there also a player in training videos and known to have been signed for weeks before there was an announcement?

How can all of the following be true:

“This season we’ve had the most contact injuries the club has had in a single season for five seasons”

“League comparison from the latest EFL report says we’re 13th for muscular injuries in the league, midtable in terms of injuries”

Says the recent injury updates are only because we’ve got injuries to update on, previously “we didn’t have any injuries”.

Are we just supposed to forget en-masse the months at the start of the season where players we were expecting to be back weren't then on team sheets and no information was forthcoming from the club.

Appreciate that he's improving the communication and some of the updates are quite interesting and moving in the right direction in some areas if true. But when he's clearly telling lies in some areas (Injuries/Contracts), why should we trust his comments on the other items? Personally I think that telling lies so blatantly and expecting us not to be able to spot them shows a level of contempt for us as fans.
