I think it's time for the big switch.

My twitter feed is vile at the moment.

Anyone else switching over?

No chance of buying those Ellerslie Road houses up then.

We should dig down beneath them.

No team wants to go to a subterranean lair on a cold Tuesday night in February.

The club's official account and the retro QPR site are now on there.

That's pretty much all I need.

How do social media sites political leanings compare? Yesterday I did a poll on all the platforms I'm on (barring TikTok) the results when listed side by side are fascinating...

As they're self-selecting polls, this is less about the absolute vote and more about the relative… Show more
Do you consider your politics leftish, rightish or centre-ish?

Conclusion X relatively balanced.
Bluesky the place for left wing groupthink.

Or the place where you can follow the things you're interested in without being constantly infested with politics you're not.

If you believe that you’ll believe anything.

How far the real world will intrude depends on the censors and their algorithms.

I've had the opposite experience so far. I follow QPR, football, rugby league, London history, photography and a few mates. And I get QPR, football, rugby league, London history, photography and a few mates.

If you don’t follow them then you don’t see them.
I don’t follow them, so I don’t see them.
Whereas Twitter push them onto me.

All this echo chamber, left-leaning stuff makes it sound like people only use social media for politics. I mean, most of us don't right? We're there to follow the things that actually interest us?

On Twitter, I was getting halfwits like Darren Grimes and Laurence Fox shoved down my throat on a daily basis.

Great, so I'll block them. Unfortunately, I cannot mute or block their 500k followers and their endless Union Jack AI images and retweets.

It was an endless stream of poison, designed to whip up other halfwits.

So far on Bluesky, I've seen book reviews, retro football videos and a smidgen of world news.

It's absolute fcking bliss.

Funny how some people seem to know other people's experiences better than they do. Must be a special kind of genius.

Well the stuff I’m interested in and want to see is definitely happening in the real world.
