Everybody agrees on Lammy. The guy is such an idiot I don’t think there’ll even be a single person on here willing to defend him.
But is Starmer really “extreme left”? We don’t know what he is. Does anybody know what Starmer actually believes in or stands for yet? Apart from filing his pockets with as much free stuff as possible of course.

Hitchens seems to have beliefs which more than indicates that Starmer is a Marxist and a practicing one , now with power .The future maybe red but its not bright.
"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

To be fair though, Hitchens is also a berk, not as big a berk as Lammy but still, a berk.

Fair enough. Can he put in a claim for us regarding historical abuse and slavery by Barbary pirates?
Herein lies my problem with reparations. How far do we go back and who do we pay?
Do we go and demand reparations from Italy for what Rome did or from the Scandi countries for what the Norsemen did?
Rhen besides that, why should people alive today pay for the crimes of people long dead? I am not guilty of slavery or theft of anything from Africa or the Caribbean. Why should I pay?
If Lammy truly feels that way then he cannot be a minister in the UK government. Starmer has been a berk in putting him there. Not his last bad move by any means.
When OHL said people would regret voting Labour I believe he will be proved right, I think some are already questioning their decision. I didn't vote Labour or Tory because they are both trouble.

Cat I have spoken to many who already bitterly regret voting this lot in. They know much bad news will come their way This will be the most unpopular government for decades and yeah, more so than Boris ,Truss and Maybitch . Why? Because at least the Tories didn’t really make out they were looking after “ working people” . Tsarmer and the smarmy ,smiling financial assassin Reeves will be proven to be incompetent ,negligent and dangerous and to have a man like Lammy in the top three high offices says it all. He is appealing to his Bruvs / Fam What other country would target pensioners first .
Boris has a lot to answer for ensuring decent folk felt they had no alternative but to vote against Tory candidates

The United Kingdom is a sovereign nation consisting of the countries of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
Your country is Wales.
His countries are the same as yours, the UK and Wales in whichever order you prefer.
A lot of Welsh men and women have fought for Britain to ensure you have the right to spout your hate speech but please don't be telling other people which country is or isn't theirs, it's their choice, not yours.

The UK is a sovereign state, you’ll be wise to remember this when you spout your rubbish again, which no doubt you will.
Wales, England etc. could be called countries but the definition of that word is not set in stone. There is an amount of self governance in the devolved areas but in the US for example, the 52 states enjoy far more privileges. They are not regarded as countries so now it comes down to history, tradition and individual belief. Texas would have a shout as it was a sovereign state at one time for a few years.
And as Cat says, don’t dare to tell people what nationality they are, especially when you are misguided!!

Indeed. What did the Romans ever do for us?😁
Slaughtered Britons by the thousand, took thousands of others for Slaves, raped, pillaged and looted and then when the country was under their control, had the remaining people pay taxes for the privilige of being dominated.
Whatever good they brought to these shores, all of the above is true. All because Claudius needed to win a war to help preserve his reign.
I suppose it could have been worse, his predecessor (Caligula) would have stolen all our seas shells too.

I doubt he knows himself what he is to be honest apart from being clueless!
Talking of toast I bought a loaf of bread the other day and thought it was sponsored by David Lammy for a moment but then I realised it actually said “thick cut”.
Others are saying much the same. The Times is worried about the damage that may result from "lightweight Lammy's" current trip to China, which seems to be delighted with the news about the Chagos Islands.
